This guy and his store is one of if not the best in the business. Great customer service and price. I probably sound like a bot but I have bought a few things from him now and his try and home program is about as good as it gets.

What is the difference in Nylon for switches like this compared to the Mode Tomorrows, Mode Obscuras, or Owl Labs Neons? They are all Nylon based and some of the highest pitched and clacky switches. Ive noticed Nylon seems to be at both ends of the spectrum?

Pole length can make things higher-pitched and more resonant

I’d put the SP Star Meteor Oranges (and meteor white v2s) as a couple examples of regular travel length with a higher pitched sound and a full nylon housing. I also think cherry’s full nylon switches can sound pretty bright depending on the board config (mounting style, plate material, springs/lubing technique, foams, etc.). I assume every manufacturer’s blend is at least a little bit different, and the stem material also plays a big role in addition to stem length. POM seems less muted than say LY or P3 (e.g. JWK/Prevail Epsilons). As someone who’s purchased too many boards / switches, doing the Milktooth try at home or some other switch sample pack type option is probably your best bet.

Great review! One thing I'm not personally into is the shorter travel distance. Most stabilizers are not designed with short travel switches in mind. And the ones that are, have a ~3.5mm travel, so a ~3.0mm travel switch will still show some rocking in stabilized keys (most noticeable in spacebars). I kinda get Akko CS Silvers with the lower actuation because of gaming in mind, but if a switch has a 2.0mm actuation, make it 4.0mm to bottom out. Long pole? Sure. But standard travel, please. I have some TX AP Long Pole stabilizers on the way so I'll be trying some regular and long pole switches to see how it affects the rocking 🍻

@@milktoothnu I've tried 5 so far: Cherry clip-ins, Durock V2s, Akko Nylon screw-ins, Akko plate mounted POM+TPU, and Keebfront Stabbers. I think all have been standard pole travel (have my doubts on the Akko plate mounted), but so far, the Akko plate mounted POM+TPU have been the absolute best. Shame Akko hasn't started selling them as standalones. Lubed them with my 87.5% SuperLube mix on the wires and that's it. No holee mod, nothing. They're seriously impressive.
