The “Gateway to Translation” G2T webinar series is a joint initiative between The University of Manchester (Translation Manchester) and the University of Cambridge (Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, CATS).
These monthly webinars aim to stimulate the translation of basic research into the clinics by educating academics about trends, technologies and research in the commercial sphere and facilitating collaborations between academia and the medtech, biotech and pharma industry sectors.
The Guest speaker of this series's June webinar is James Chapman, Co-founder and Product Lead for Decently. The name of the talk is “The Challenges and Pitfalls of Developing a New Digital Health Technology in Collaboration with the NHS”. Decently is a North West based digital health tech startup on a mission to help clinicians make earlier sense of complex patient behaviours through innovative tech, big data and AI.
With almost a decade's worth of experience in health tech - across industry, consultancy and the NHS - James has a strong track record of creating award-winning tech-for-good products that have made a significant social impact. Prior to setting up Decently, he was MD of an award winning digital health startup focussed on falls prevention & is an alumni of the NHS Digital Health Accelerator.
