EXPLORING TOKYO 2021 / TOKYO ASAKUSA / GOSHUIN / JAPANESE CULTURE / EXPLORING JAPAN / JAPANESE SHRINES AND TEMPLES / JAPANESE TEMPLE SEALS / JAPANESE SEALS
Welcome to the second episode of Our Tokyo Diaries. In this video, I invited my friend Sanna, whos KZfaq channel I have linked below, to go with me to Asakusa. I knew that she was gathering Japanese temple seals, Goshuin, for a while and I recently started to gather them too. They are a perfect souvenir, when you travel somewhere, or just find a really beautiful temple or shrine in your neighborhood. In this video we went to Sensoji, in Asaku and to another cute temple close by. I hope you enjoy this video and you learn a little bit about Japanese culture!

Thank you all for watching 😊✨ I postet this on the community tab before, but I'm trying to get more foreigners on my channel (as this is my target audience). So, if you know anyone who would be interested in my videos, I'd appreciate if you share it with them 😊✨💕 I’d also appreciate if you like this video, leave a comment and of course subscribe, if you haven’t yet. Everything is for free and it really helps me out! ✨

Hi, I started to collect the goshuin three weeks ago. Its been really fun so far. The beautiful calligraphy really amazes me especially from the handwritten ones. I m about to finish my first book and I can't wait to work on the second goshuincho.

Hey :) I hope you enjoy your stay. You only need one book. Most temples/shrines have 1-3 different Goshuin, so it wouldn't add up and it would be very expensive to buy a new book every time :) One is fine.

Got a trip to Japan coming up and on my second day I’m heading to Fushimi Inari and really want to start this. What exactly do I say once I approach them at the counter? I know very little Japanese. I understand more than I can speak.

You want to look out for 御朱印. They sell it often where they sell the lucky charms. It can be hard to find sometimes. And then you tell them 御朱印を買いたいです。 Is that helpful?
