Hi, thanks for your review. Is it solid wood or light weight MDF or worse? My issues with non solid wood is they vibrate with low frequency. Does that occur? Thanks
@FuzzywallzMastering

Thanks for watching! The desk does not seem to be made of solid wood, but some kind of MDF.... but, I wouldn't consider it 'lightweight' and I have yet to notice any vibrations, buzzing or any issues when playing loud bass heavy music. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't yet and please throw a comment here if hear anyone having a different experience with this desk.

Looking in the the holes in the front corners, it’s clear that it’s not MDF, it’s a void-free ply.

That’s quite remarkable for the low price. Do you aldo recommend it? My only concern is getting a big enough stereo image. I could also invest in some stands if needed

Highly recommended! This is as nice-looking as any furniture you might put in any other room in your house, in a minimalist kind of way. The wood grain is slightly raised, and beautiful. I bought the maple color, as well. Obviously, it’s not dove-tail joinery, but once put together, it’s very solid and stable. I ordered mine through Guitar Center. Not only cheaper than Sweetwater, they had a 15% off coupon code when ordered through one of their phone reps. Can’t beat that. I also bought the corner piece and the floor rack.

After a late night and the whole morning I finally got this beast together. The instruction booklet is very nebulous and really slowed the process down.

The legs are thin and my concern is how sturdy it is and how much weight it can hold it doesn’t say at all also i think is made of plywood
@FuzzywallzMastering
@FuzzywallzMastering Жыл бұрын
I had that same concern at first, but have ran into no issues with stability. It is not solid wood, so if that is a 'no-go' for you I understand but I'm happy with it. Thanks or watching and don't forget to subscribe!

Hey I had a question. I currently own an SSL Mynx and I’m wondering if it would fit in the middle port. I was wondering if you could give me the dimensions of the port in the middle cause I can’t seem to find that info anywhere.

Thanks for watching! The middle port's dimensions are 5in wide and 8in high.

Do you happen to know what the height clearance is between the tray and the top of the desk? I'm wondering what sorts of things I'll be able to fit in there. Thank you!
@FuzzywallzMastering
@FuzzywallzMastering 10 ай бұрын
The space is about 3.25", so not a ton of clearance, but enough for a midi keyboard etc.

Believe it or not i used have a business manufacturing levitation pads but the Gator Frameworks goldilocks desk meant that the business never took off ! Could the back bar on the keyboard tray be left off as my ( synth ) keyboard is a bit deeper than the tray ? Nice review mate,thanks.
@FuzzywallzMastering
@FuzzywallzMastering 2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha, thwarted by Gator... but don't give up hope, levitation pads will be needed by someone, for something, some day! Regarding the back bar, looking at it again and from what I recall from building it, if you want to just leave that off.... I don't see any issues with that. Seems very optional. Nice Video, quick question: Is the keyboard-tray sturdy, or does it move while playing a bit harder/ faster on the keys? How is your overall experience since the video?

I just set my gator frameworks desk up and agree with the video. I would like to add a comment about the material. It is not particle board. For my situation I made a 1/2 moon cut into the back of the desk table top to allow for other cables against the wall. The desk is a very dence plywood , kinda reminds me of marine grade ply wood. NOT PATICLE BOARD.
@FuzzywallzMastering
@FuzzywallzMastering 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the help in clarification and thanks for watching! Yes, upon further review it seems the consensus is it is a hard and dense plywood of some kind. Thanks again for helping out!

Tell me, with the back plates of the left and right sides of the top of the desk, how do you run your cables through with equipment that is longer in depth? There is no space left
@FuzzywallzMastering
@FuzzywallzMastering 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I know what you mean, and from what I see (and recall about building it) those are not structurally necessary and could be removed, or just not built in to begin with, leaving the the back completely open. In fact I may end up doing that if I change out some equipment. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't yet!

@@FuzzywallzMastering I got rid of my back plates and although it supplies less support, the top of my desk when I set it down applies enough pressure for me not to care but at least I can reach the back of all of my equipment
