Thank you for this vidéo. I love Gatsby.js and I don't really know Wordpress. I what to become a freelance developper and I think wordpress is important to know for a freelance because it runs 34% of the web. However I would prefer coding only in JavaScript and no PHP. I guess, on the one hand, if I got a client with small budget I would choose Wordpress and choose, a theme and some plugins. On the other hand I would choose Gatsby if the client has more budget, wants a full custom css website and best performances.

Hi Zac, thank you for the video! How can we convert existing wordpress site with themes into gatsby headless wordpress site? Do we need to re-input the content ? because the existing contents html are contain classes that used by the existing theme. I am still confused.

Hi zach, just want to ask. for wordpress of course still need to host it online for the admin CMS purposes right? it means we are need to host it separately right? for netlify only gatsby can be host and for wordpress we host it for different server right?

Hi Zac! I'm new with Gatsby and I like it a lot, but I don't know if I can use it with Wordpress for a project that I'm working on. The site is for a museum, which have a lot of events happening all the time, and many blog posts which may require some changes. About the cons number 3, ¿every time the WordPress admin create/update an event or blog post I have to rebuild the entire site? Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

To be honest Gatsby sounds like a fad. Unless it's WAY faster than a cached WordPress I think it's only useful for some hotsites, to lock the client to your services or if you hate coding in PHP.
