I have the original gauntlets in the med size. They hold so much water you don’t need bigger plus easier to handle. Great towels. Mine are a couple of years old and perform as good as they did new.

Impressive. I bought a woolly mammoth and it left fibres all over the car. Washed it, did it again. Now use it as a door mat

I’ve got 2 of these. They wash up really well. Pan did a in depth comparison with other about a year ago.

That is such an amazing towel. It’s like the softness of a plush towel and the absorbency of twisted loop.

They recommend washing the towel before using it. I just bought an assortment of the rag company towels. Fell in love after buying my first towel from them.

I've got the biggest gauntlet and the little ones for wheels. Bought my friend their 1500 drying towel, and that thing is a beast. We've dried 3 trucks in a row with it before and it didn't break a sweat.

They're particularly great at using them with drying aids, as they allow you to buff a bit better than strictly long twisted loop on it's own. It won't keave streaks like long twisted loop tends to do with detailers/drying aids.

I have two of these towels and I can dry my 2015 Silverado crew cab 1500 with just one towel, the last panel does take a little extra attention to get it completely dry if I use the towel to soak up the trapped water around the bed cover, mirrors, and grill but. I don’t use any kind of blower or air dryer and it still dries the truck with one towel. Same size as the on u reviewed. I love the gauntlet towel. I plan to buy a few more. I have been able to dry both my wife’s civic and my Silverado with one towel as well when using a drying aid and it being a bit hotter to help with the air drying.

My Gyeon Silk towel is getting on a bit now and even though I can't complain about it. The Gauntlet was one I'd thought of as a replacement, as well as the Garage Therapy towel.

An auto supply store in my area had these and I picked one up a few months ago. Liked it so much I picked up a second one.

I must have washed my gauntlet drying towels over 100times and they still feel soft and dry great. Ive only had to trim a couple of frays off in my time using them. Its hard to give any want to be users any real world experience as they have only been used on a coated car. You will get some linting on glass mind, but im sure you all have a twist loop or waffle for glass anyway. The one shown is the perfect size, the x-large one 30×36 can be clumbersome but is great for the roof, bonet and boot. The 12×12 are handy for shuts and wheel faces. All in all I dont think you would be dissapointed

The Gauntlet has been my chosen towel for 3y. I have found it brilliant, though my car is coated. Washed after each use at 30 degrees. Just the oodd loose thread that I just pull out, no dramas.

My favourite Drying Towel by far. I can do 2 small cars with one towel the same size as what you showed.

This looks to be a very absorbent and effective towel, I currently use Sams Detailing drying towel, with which I am very impressed.

I got into the whole cordless blower to dry your car dad but I went back to drying with a towel. I just find it much more satisfying to hand dry my car especially when using a drying aid. Autofiber has some great drying towels. Their Dreadnaught has a twisted loop and a high gsf fluffy side. Great for drying and then buffing any streaking left over from your drying aid.

I find these expensive (to me) drying towels a little bit more for the professional detailers. I have found the Halfords supersoft drying towels to be plenty good enough for weekend hobby detailers, and at £7.79 each, for a large towel, are great value for money.

I use a drying towels from Nuke Guys 50 or 60x80cm and 1400gsm. Price was around €18 -€20.

Fresh layers is fast becoming your second home lol. Looks a decent towel for the money.

Some branches of Halfords are selling the rag company I also bought the combo cyclone ultra wash mitt and wash pad which seems to be better than my gtechniq mitt and if you have a trade card you get a bit of discount. 👍🏻

Disappointed there was no "thrown down the gauntlet" gag. 🤣 I'm still using my original klin Korea which has been great for me but it's big. Will certainly consider this for the next one. Great video as always!

I have the gauntlet, liquidator and the 1500 from the rag company. The 1500 trumps them all hands down. Not a single streak or moisture left on paint. Downsides to that towel is that it can get heavy after multiple cars and the damn thing will bleed red dye with no end in sight. Good 30 washes and it will still stain any other towel i wash with it. I use the 16x16 liquidators for the small passes after the 1500. Rarely touch the gauntlets anymore

I have 2 of these in the 15x24 and use them either with a drying aid r without and think they are great.

I like the look of this towel. Currently have the "goldmember" which is 80x50 and 1400gsm, twisted loop, it's a great towel and holds a huge volume of water, currently £9.50.

The Gauntlet is a great towel and setting up the tufting machine to make the towel is a real pain in the butt. We are lucky to not have to use a chamois anymore.

I have 2 of the smaller size ones and they kinda suck. Well they don’t suck in comparison to yur basic drying towel but I used the mckees 37 glacier 1100 , then I used this and I was alittle disappointed . Took me a few passes to dry it completely , Vs the glacier was like a one pass dry

Iv been using the autofinesse aqua deluxe for a few months for my nice car, I don't find it clears the windows well and I have to go over them after. I think I'm going to buy the £8 Halfords one for the rest of the cars I wash though.

Be a better test on a much wetter car imo. The audi looked to have been tickled with water lol. I've had a few Kent ones, decent enough but don't last.

For me the Gyeon Silk Dryer XL and his little brother is the best. I don't like the fluffy drying towels.

These are great but I find they fray too soon from washing. Nonetheless I use them for drying wheels and door jambs the different sizes are pretty nice.

I find the larger towels unhand-able when they are waterlogged. They hold so much water they are difficult to wring out because they are so large.

Thats was my favorite untill Garage Therapy relesed thier new drying towel. I do like that the gauntlet as it comes in different sizes.

Is there a reason you don't use a hot water power washer for snow foam and the whole cleaning process? I would have thought hot water would be more effective than cold.

What is your thoughts on drying towels on soft paint vs hard paint? I always use corral fleece type towels (Auto Finesse) on soft paint like Teslas. On harder, like on Audis I use TRC the double twistress

Hi John I blow dry with a bigboi now I use it in conjunction with a gyeon towel , just find the blower gets more of the hidden h2o out thoughts ?

Does ceramic infused drying aids ruin these drying towels? Or are you better using non ceramic stuff like beadmaker for drying aids?
