By far this is the best rendition of Faure's Sicilienne. I guess the French understand their own people's piece well.

No! I am German and this is my favorite Cello & Piano Solo piece. Absolutely marvellous!!! Gabriels music is too big for a single country. Also love, play an teach his Dolly cycle for 4 Hands very often. BTW - i ve related in france in Marsanne ;)

Vous voyez des micros quelque part dans ce clip ? Non ? Donc, c'est qu'il s'agit d'un play-back, et donc - oui, c'est le son du CD qu'on entend ici et, comme vous, j'espère que l'horrible bruit de fond n'est qu'un artefact youtubien ;-)

C'est tellement apersonnel, je trouve que cela manque de subtilité. C'est un avis parmi d'autres. Un exemple, je trouve qu David Louwerse le joue avec une puissance artistique beaucoup plus pertinente. Vous pouvez trouver sa vidéo sur youtube.
