I also live in a small mountain town in Tennessee, about 85 miles east of yours. I voted democrat in 2016 for the first time in my life (I’m 63) because I knew Trump was bad news. I voted against trump again in 2020 (thank God he lost), and will vote against him in 2024. I can’t believe what has happened to my former Republican Party. Almost all of my neighbors, friends, etc rode off on the MAGA crazy train. They support trump and it really depresses me that they can’t see through this jackass. Unfortunately, it has diminished the affection I used to have for TN because of all the MAGA idiots. Thank you for being a bright light of normalcy in a state that has turned to the Dark Side. Keep up the good work!

I agree. Obama can not be topped in eloquence and intelligence, as far as I've seen so far, but there are a few that come damned close to deserving the level of respect and attention. Well, Fuck Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Charles Schumer did not pass the For The People Act or the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, so it is up to the people to show up in force, b/c Project Red Map has rigged the system to favor the (R) party by redistricting in such a manner that an even 50-50 vote they get ~60% of the seats and in a 55-45 vote they get ~50% of the seats. If non (R) voters do not Rock The Vote, they will not "win"... and then I will have to move to Colombia in a hurry so that my dollar can be exchanged at the best value.

I used to like his show too, but I haven't watched him in years either. Newsome is a very savvy strategist.....he knows we need Biden at this time. He knows it would be suicide for dems to have multiple high profile people running against Biden. He also realizes he is young and has plenty of time to fine tune his message and delivery. He is not as dynamic a speaker as Obama, but he has the receipts and he brings them in a very succinct and relatable way to the regular people out here in the real world. Absolutely. 🎯 I also see anti-"Woke" as a racist trope. It actually is in its fundamental intention. Whether the anti-woke folks know it or not. Black folks have used the term "stay woke" for generations; when alerting each other to be aware, keep your eyes open. Honestly I think Bill's real problem is he attributes the "woke" the same mainstream on the left as the MAGA on the right, but the difference is the left knows their 10% hardliners positions on the left are bullshit, the right takes MAGA seriously on policy but excuses them on consequences. The left says "sure Bill, you can be a woman now", but they aren't sitting there saying Bill should be allowed in every women's restroom, instead they let "her" figure out what problems "she" wants and legally argue it out, the fact they get laughed out often as not by both sides is all the proof needed that they aren't the same.
