The relentless push for maximum profits has little to do with a desire to allow visitors to see a show. We have all gotten too used to various employee abuses in the name of 'customer convenience'. Customers, voracious consumers of every sort of thing, would welcome some time off! In retail, 'closing early' on holidays...often at 6 or 7 PM...gives no time to cook, to travel...to enjoy. Your point is well taken: the producers and higher ups have the time off! A Merry and a Happy to you both!

I love your answers so much! Happy Christmas to you both!! And I also hope that Broadway/touring companies do something about holiday performances. I agree with Chris that it makes sense that some people may want to see a show for the holidays, but it also is tough for everyone involved in the production to miss the holidays with loved ones! P.S. Vlogmas is a vlog everyday up until and including Christmas Day. (Some people go until New Year's Eve.)
