I’ve been a fan of Kylie’s since the 90’s, and I have to say that I’ve never seen something so catastrophic happen during one of her live performances. Sure, there have been technical issues here and there, but thankfully she surrounds herself with the best crew and performers that she’s always able to continue without anyone noticing something is amiss being the professional she is. Accidents happen, but the moment that DJ started playing a backing track after she took a moment to stop, reset and had the audience back in the palm of her hand by doing it together acapella, was just bloody disrespectful and I lost any and all sympathy for him at that point. I would’ve been pissed. Show’s why Kylie is a class act and continues to be one of the very best in the business decade after decade. (She sings LIVE too!!!)

That "DJ" was the main performer and pretty much host of that event lol yes he made a mistake but that was his event and Kylie made a pop up haha They play mixes of disco music so im unsired how prepared or planned was for her to make an appearance. Nonetheless, lucky everyone there who got to randomly see her!! I went to their event on Sunday, wish I had gone on Friday when she showed up ❤

Okay, so accidents happen. I don’t know all the details as to whether the DJ played what he was given or played the wrong track, but what pissed me off more than anything was that when she tried to take control of the situation by singing it acapella with the crowd who were totally with her and on her side, the DJ then starts playing a track anyway. I mean… WTF? At that point I lost any and all sympathy I may have had for the DJ. That was just unprofessional by anyone’s standards not to mention disrespectful to the performers. The fact she stopped the performance at a suitable point without throwing a diva strop like so many would and tried to make the best of a bad situation is both admirable and further proves why she’s been a megastar here in England and Europe for decades and the true Queen of Pop. If nothing else, I’m glad that she’s finally cracked America - it’s about time they caught on. (My fellow LGBTQ American family excluded of course!) Treat her well America - but you can only borrow her before we’ll need her back 🥰

Wasn’t the Sound Engineer’s fault, it was the “DJ”.

The DJ “happened”. He obviously wasn’t paying the slightest bit of attention, making Kylie’s job far harder than it needed to be. Hugely unprofessional.

Here’s the editorial by Josh Woods, the host and one of the DJ members of Horse Disco Meat and what he said in Out Magazine’s website “One of the most memorable moments happened this year at our New York Pride party when Kylie made a “surprise” appearance and performed her worldwide mega-hit “Padam Padam.” (That was one of the hardest secrets I’ve ever kept.) All four Horse Meat Disco DJs were there, which was very rare and special. It felt like a family reunion. I’ve known Kylie for years and invited her to perform as a surprise. She told me afterward that she came to connect with her fans and say thank you.” If he knew of her appearance but kept it a secret, wouldn’t he have been responsible or at the very least found a trusted person to man the audio equipment for this special moment? 🤦🏻‍♂️
