This is one of those songs that stay with you, I was a teenager and falling in love with my girlfriend and, after a stupid argument, Clifford T Ward brought me to my senses. We have been married 47 years. So wasn't sure about a cover-version, but you have done Clifford proud. Brilliant

As long as Robinson-Stone are around Clifford T Ward won't ever be forgotten, which is not to undervalue their own very fine compositions too. Performed with skill and understanding, wonderful.

That was amazing, Clifford was a shy humble man who steered away from self promotion and performing live ,but even he would've been brought to tears ,as I was ,listening to that performance. Congratulations you've performed this classic song with class and dignity in memory of a talented musician the likes of whom we'll never see again. R.I.P. Clifford.

He was one in a million. I remember hearing an interview with him on Irish radio when his illness was quite advanced and I've been a huge fan ever since. One of England's finest.

What a beautiful rendition of this haunting song by Robinson-Stone. It's a wonderful tribute to Clifford T Ward whom I'm sure would be extremely proud were he still alive, of what you and the other members of the trio have achieved. I cannot praise this group enough. so nice to see the younger generation appreciating a classic from the 70s. Remember standing in the river Wear '73 and Gaye came on the radio and as a kid I entered some kind of timelessness, a state of satori and always come back to this song. bravo !

I had a moment of satori as a kid when Clifford came on the radio in the 70s. It was at Finchale Priory on the banks of the Wear. i feel I am eternally indebted to this song and you gave it so much respect. Respect

I often said I had my first satori when stepping into the waters of the river Wear at Finchale abbey when this song came on the radio and there was timelessness and satchitananda. Thank you for carrying the vibe
