Love this! True junk journal kind of 🤪 The blue bird is adorable. Hope Katie feels better quick. The smoke is just horrible, but then so is the fire, I feel so bad for the people who live in the fire areas. I'm in Southern California in a concrete jungle area but I do get the smoke😟 Hopefully they get the fires contained and your throat will feel better.

I loved this video. Two of the four collage mosaics I made are intended for journal covers, but I never thought of fitting them to the cover as you have done. Mine will just be glued on, but will be smaller than the actual journal. One is a farm journal, and I used a few old photographs as part of the design. One is a ranch life journal, and I used a photo of my uncle on horseback as the center image. I also relied heavily on your feed sack digitals, because they are appropriate to the subject matter.

It's so geometrical, it reminds me of Ceri the Crafter! Hugs!!

I read that the drifting smoke from the fires is especially irritating when it includes toxic particles from the homes that have burned 🥲 from plastics and such. It is more than wood smoke. It has drifted way over here to Minnesota, where our days are hazy now.

G’morning Gayle! Love the mosaics on black! Missed this yesterday. I’ve been fussing about with making a closure. Lost count of the hours and unladylike words and trial runs. Fabrics, laces, seam binding…🤪 Ended up tossing everything aside except a piece of grograin ribbon to be tied around her slightly plump middle in a bow. Really? After all that fuss? I’m just glad I didn’t punch any holes early on. 😂 I have decided fidgety closures are not my bag. Coffee with Gayle will settle my nerves. 💕

Hey Gayle! We've been on the road for about 2 weeks now and taking a break today. Currently in Laurel, MT. We are here for a day and then to WY again to see my hubby 's daughter & granddaughters. I found my black paper (after watching the last videos)! I have papers from Staples & Walmart that are called "Brights" & "Pastels". I think those solid colors would really pop on that black!! If I get adventurous, I'll try it!!

My husband is currently over in the Bittersweet mountains and he says the smoke from the fires is just awful. Unfortunately Montana is too dry this past year and it's early for fire season. Here in CA we are almost always in fire season. Take care!

Just a tip for your packages. mark over your address with sharpie, or glue some paper down over before you start the video. Just so that you don’t have to worry about it at all.
