At least 2% of Christians in Gaza murdered in past eleven weeks. Another 1% died due to inability to access medical care. Those remaining are sheltering in fear of bombs and snipers without ready access to food, water and basic sanitation. I’m not religious, but I care about human history, present and future. This is shameful, absolutely shameful treatment of the indigenous Christians of the holy lands.

Palestine you are not alone!!! All the world is with you, suffering , shocked , angry and above all helpless because we can do nothing apart from praying and speaking out against this horror. We have our Christmas tree and some decorations and also see many more Christmas trees and decorations along our street and in the city but this doesn't mean that you Palestine are out of our thoughts. No!!! On the contrary, we won't let the devil and his followers stop us celebrating the birth of Our Lord. And as we look at our Christmas trees with the image of the Baby Jesus near it we are looking at all those innocent babies and children in Palestine.

My prayers are with the Palestinians. Not all of us in the West support our governments silence. I'm appalled by our government's refusal to pressure Israel to a cease fire and an end to the war. Hamas's action is not justified but the civilian deaths caused by Israel is in no way justified either. You can't tell me there was no other way to deal with Hamas other than killing thousands of Palestinian civilians. May God watch over you all!

Thank you so much for this powerful sermon. You spoke out the truth that is exceedingly difficult to formulate for so many because of their entanglement in different sides of politics. The sermon came just in the right time, when hearts were overshadowed by dark clouds of doubt, asking where God is, and why there is no help. The acts of the state of Israel is only justifying the intentions and acts of the Nazis because of the parallels they offer, namely, destroying politically, socially, economically, and physically those whom one considers unworthy of existence.
