This isn’t even on BBC iPlayer. Nice recording considering your limitations. Roddigan , you are the Don Dadda . I wonder if and when there will be a Radio 1 Xtra interview with himself & Buju Banton now he’s free. ???

This music was created as a result of the situations and oppressions that were put upon our peoples, and out of that pressure a diamond was formed. This diamond was the force of resistance against all oppressions. Then the oppressors came along and stole the diamond(much like they do in S Africa), and now market it as their own, without any acknowledgement of the reasons for the music. How could we expect the oppressors to highlight "their" oppression and play a music opposing them? They can only play the "lovey dovey" tunes and leave out the serious revolutionary tunes.

Really.. Not hating Stan and ill be respectful with my wording as your a bigger man to me... But this was shit, then we have that guy Rodigan who has never produced a reggae track in his life get the credit for revolutionising reggae in the UK 🇬🇧 yet man like Coxsone is starving... This show was all over the gaff... Guess the white people were happy 😊 that's all that matters... 😉

The Quality of this video is very good but who ever shot this video and did not check the audio on the main mike did not do there job the audio is horrible .
@gazelle1275 жыл бұрын
JOHN FINLEY firstly thank you ‘gaze productions is a work in progress and learning through trial and error Sometimes mistakes come before perfecfion.. it’s not my job However I too agree the audio is shocking compared to the footage ... and until I invest in better equipment... I’ll be certain to triple check my final edit.

@@gazelle127 Unless you have a feed on the mixing board this is the best you are going to get. For an unauthorized film this is insanely good. You could try to record using a mic and assemble it in post, but this is not easy to do with a mixing board line.

@gazelle1275 жыл бұрын
Jon Spoard yes unfortunately after an hr and half of filming my battery went on my camera and I had to get the phone out... and still not sure why it’s lagging and out of sync... think there was an error uploading or... still amateur here. 🤷🏼♀️

Not hating but they've unnecessarily cut costs with unknown artists... Why not go the full hog and get Barrington Levy, Johnny Osborne, Johnny Clarke, Sanchez, Beres... You know real reggae artists... Bitty McLean is the only one that comes out with any credibility from this farce...
@JamesBrown-ob9mh5 жыл бұрын
Wayne shame Roddy did not metion the true pioneers Steve Barnard and the late great, Sir Tony Williams who died this month last year. They were my heros to.
@waynemarshall88365 жыл бұрын
@@JamesBrown-ob9mh I don't wanna come across as bitter, but fuck me it's fundamentally wrong this farce took place... It was literally all over the gaff. This is what happens when another culture touches your shit... Again I'm not hating but there's a lot of jamaican artists that could of done with a little doe in there pocket... If Ram Jam or whatever he calls himself really cared about the culture he wouldn't of had some Greek guy singing Bob Marley... Why is it always our shit that has to be 🤔 hmmm verified by a white man... This show should of been hosted by Coxsone or Fatman, you know real producers and sound man...

@@waynemarshall8836 so mek me aks yu dis....why Coxsone or Fatman neva come up wid de idea fe put on de show? 'Low Rodigan bredren...and stop starting every sentence by saying "I'm not hating",,caw dat is exackly wha yuh a do!

@@michaelhall5887 So Mr Hall are you suggesting that Ram Jam is the godfather of reggae in the UK 🇬🇧 if you think that you genuinely have the mind of a slave. The fact that you wish to enter a serious debate speaking patois but then defending a white man sums you up and I guess the overall state of black culture. FYI I doubt the royal Albert Hall would ever let Fatman or Coxsone do a show there. If you want to hear real reggae I suggest you go to the afro carribean community Hall on a Friday night in Wood Green.. Where the real godfathers of reggae in the UK 🇬🇧 Fatman and Coxsone attend weekly. Have a good evening though big man. Love....

@@waynemarshall8836 take it easy man ..no need to get personal. Yu neva even ansa mi question. All I am saying is that I respect Rodigan for his constant, worldwide promotion of Jamaica and Jamaican music. Respeck to all man who do dat...including your friends Coxsone and Fatman. For the record I doan know none a de 3 a dem. I just enjoy it whenever I see my country's culture appreciated in any way. Bless.
