Great reaction. This was a compilation video with clips from several different concerts (I saw Makuhari Hall, Saitama Super Arena, Wembley Arena in the UK, the Tokyo Dome and the Budokan in Tokyo plus maybe one or two more). The audio was from Wembley Arena in 2016. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's buff and hide & seek I've ever heard. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre). The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.

I just love this song, it screams Babymetal, heavy and cute at the same time. And the best thing about it is watching metalheads loose their shit to a song about playing Hide and Seek, OK it's with a flesh eating Oni, but still it's hide and seek :)

Great reaction, thanks! I'm not a fan of compilations but this one, at least, is well made despite showing images from a number of concerts. It's way better than the other one with millions of views. "CMIYC" was my very first BABYMETAL song and it hooked me since the first moment. It's one of their heaviest songs and the choreo is so cute and funny, including my favorite movement: the infamous "Moa slide" :) Definitely one of the best exponents of the kawaii metal.

This video is a compilation of various performances and it says something about BM's precision (and click track) that it's possible to put these videos together and have them marry up so well with a single live audio performance. "Catch me if you can" must be the heaviest song ever about a playground game. Japanese kids play a game of tag where the taggers are ogres called Oni. I suppose when you are being chased by club wielding ogres things get dark and heavy and BM mime running from the ogres. These Oni also appear in some festivals where men dress as the ogres and go round homes and must be fed to ensure a good year and to make them go away. They also threaten the children that if they aren't good they'll be back. There is also a mention of "not going out in red shoes" which is a reference to a children's poem about a young girl that is taken from her parents by foreigners. Babymetal are about fun and cuteness, but in most songs there is some darkness just below the surface.

One of Babymetal's best songs and the Kami Band is beyond reproach. Tis a pity that you watched a compilation video; I'm of the opinion that compilation videos are an insult to both viewer and band. The music is certainly overdubbed, and the change in costumes and venues can be distracting if not annoying. And I wouldn't worry about it being blocked: I have little doubt that Amuse, Inc. would waste their time blocking what amounts to chopped ham.

Some folks are bothered by the musicians' faces being hidden behind face paint. If they would search they would find performances by them without the face paint. If you watch those other videos you'll see that it doesn't diminish their abilities. Some folks are bothered by the high pitched voices of the girls. To me it has been refreshing to see and hear such a contrast between them and the growling sometimes hard to understand lyrics. I may not know all of what the girls are singing by that doesn't matter.
