In Teddy's last season at Millwall he went goal crazy with a haul of 38. Sit back and watch it all in 10 minutes!

Can't believe you put Cocteau Twins on as backing music. Can't believe it works.

Jimmy Carter was the best winger I saw in 35 years at Millwall, no doubt.

This must have been the 90/91 season as that was Teddy's last season at Millwall. The no.7 was Jimmy Carter. An excellent player who unfortunately couldn't handle the moves to Liverpool & Arsenal shortly afterwards.

carter seem to be a great winger, i never heard of him but some runs here were formidable like figo later

A lot of fans tend to forget that there was a reason why Sheringham wore the No.9 on the back of his shirt during this part of his career IMO.

I have to agree, Jimmy Carter isn't a player I know too much about, but he looked incredible in this video.. Pretty much created half of Teddy's goals that season.

Jimmy Carter was in demand by the big clubs, moved to Liverpool and then Arsenal when they were the top 2 challenging for titles. Geordie, who we signed from Newcastle didn't have Jimmy's pace and went on to play for Brentford and York.

Is that in the old 2nd division, Teddy got 38 goals? Hard to tell - but I know there first season in the old 1st division they were a great side - Cascarino, Hurlock, Teddy, Carter, more that I can't remember(the captain was some old bald fella, Len Somethingorother -can't remember his name). I think they finished third during the season - the season where Liverpool won, with Barnes, Beardsley etc. I think they drew with Liverpool at Anfield early on. Great times. Great video though.
@thepeckhampoet19096 жыл бұрын
Captain was Les Briley, you may remember his outstanding goal from outside of the box against Arsenal, disallowed because the reff wasn't looking or something. still to this day have no clue why it was disallowed.

Not A Millwall fan but enjoyed watching this team and of course Carter inparticular. I remember you getting a draw at Anfield that year you done really well in the old first division. Think it was 88-89 but correct me if i,m wrong. Whats the second song in this clip? Sadly i like it?

this reminds me of henderson's season last year; mainly headers and tap-ins and number 7 reminds me of james henry; great dribbler, skiller and crosser. the only difference is, sheringham got double the goals henderson got

Ma che razza di cross metteva in num 7...?!?! Number 7 was an amazing cross passer, really!! In the first part of the vid, in fact I read here below that he was a strong player who was sold mid season, so that's why in the second part of the vid he is weaker..cause it's not him any more... The first one had pace dribbling control even in tight and superb passing, in partic crosses, wonderful crosses
