Gazzew U4Tx Switches - Surprisingly Good!

Күн бұрынSo, I accidentally bought these instead of just the standard tactile U4Ts from DailyClack. Rolled with the punches and they turned out quite nice. Great for more silent and smooth typing feel, whilst still having a nice thock.
Very heavy swithches though (65g) and together witht hthe D-shaped bump, I couldn't type at speed for too long without getting cramps lol.

I did the same thing! I needed to buy a few more U4T switches for my keyboard and I accidentally bought the U4TX instead. I was disappointed at first but when i tested them out I ended up liking them more than my U4Ts!! and then immediately bought more to make a full keyboard. Happy accident!

How did you lube your U4Tx? Did you use Gazzew's recommended style of lubing?

Not aware of Gazzew's recommendations. I did a lightweight lube job: just the rails on bottom housing and then stem sliders only.

did they have any spring ping or leaf ping out of the box or they were ok stock?

Nope. My batch were great.

@@atomechkeebs Very nice, I'm getting a batch and I would not really like to lube them because i got a lot of other switches to lube, so if they don't have ping stock it means that I can keep them like that :)

@@KCG-053 yeah, they’re good enough stock. Relubed the whole batch just on bottom casing but didn’t make that much different. Stem didn’t lube since they have the bumpers.
