There are many hardware revisions of Nintendo's Gameboy Advance system. In this video, I try and give the pros/cons of each, while providing a side-by-side comparison.

Original GBA Model Pros: comfortable fit, clicky and wide shoulder buttons, good battery life on 2 AA batteries, link cable port, stereo headset jack built-in, plays GB, GBC, and GBA carts.
Original GBA Model Cons: non-lit screen is hard to see - get a Worm Light, Select/Start buttons are a little small and slightly difficult to hit.
GBA SP 001 Pros: small design and clam shell protects screen, plays GB/GBC/GBA carts, lithium battery is rechargable and has good battery life, charging port shares headphone adapter, link cable port is separate from charging port, front lit screen isn't bad (is playable) but not great and makes colors washed out.
GBA SP 001 Cons: small shoulder buttons, slightly cramped form factor, no stereo headphone option - must use adapter.
GBA SP AGS 101 Model Pros: screen is awesome and has two settings - low and high.
GBA SP AGA 101 Model Cons: basically same as 001 model only with a screen that is like 100x better, carries higher price, screen is more top heavy than original SP model.
GBA Micro Pros: nice backlit screen, very tiny making it very portable, built-in stereo headphone port, screen has different back lit levels (hold L and hit volume buttons), still good battery life.
GBA Micro Cons: No link cable option, only plays GBA games - does NOT play GB and GBC carts, screen is smaller than SP model, no option screen brightness button like in the SP models, has unique charging cable, carries higher price.
DS Lite Pros: can play GBA carts, can play GBA games on top or bottom screen, nice back lit screen.
DS Lite Cons: no link cable/mulitplayer option for GBA games on DS and DS Lite systems as there is no GBA link cable port, the Lite model has GBA carts sticking out from bottom of the system whereas the original DS model had GBA carts sitting flush.
Gameboy Player on Gamecube Pros: plays all GB carts including GB/GBC/GBA, screen filtering options, can play on big screen, includes link cable support for muliplayer, fits firmly on bottom of console and is easy to install and use, is compatible with accessories and peripherals like the e-Reader.
Gameboy Player on Gamecube Cons: need boot-up disc to start and often gets lost and sells for a high price these days, was only sold in black color so might contrast colors.
