Neo Arcadian: Variant Infiltrator Weapon: Buster shot; dash attack (VI-Hirondelle), electromagnetic shield (VI-Faucon), rapid fire (VI-Colbor); Z-saber, Z-buster, charged shot (VI-Zero) EX Skill: None Stage: Somewhere in Area Zero Description: Four Variant soldiers modified by Dr. Weil to infiltrate the Resistance in Area Zero. Each of their modifications gave them special weapons and allowed them to take on the appearance of three Resistance members: Colbor, Faucon, and Hirondelle; including Zero. Three of them successfully infiltrated Area Zero posing as Resistance members where they raided the Caravan encampment, framing the real Colbor, Faucon, and Hirondelle. When three of the infiltrators are defeated, an infiltrator posing as Zero attacks the settlement and kidnaps Neige, framing the real Zero in the process. (Briefing) (Ciel, Zero, and company enters the settlement to see everything damaged with the caravan members pointing their guns at them while holding Colbor, Faucon, and Hirondelle at gunpoint) Zero: The settlement…! Ciel: Wha-?! What’s going on?! What happened here?! Rafale: Your men here have attacked the settlement. Our settlement! I knew that your Resistance is untrustworthy to begin with! Hirondelle: I-I don’t understand! What is going on? What did we do?! Faucon: Hirondelle…just keep cool…! Colbor: Zero…Ciel! Glad you’re here! Listen, please! There seems to be a misunderstanding! Tornado: Quiet! You resistance scum! Ciel: Everyone calm down! What happened here? Rafale: Take a look around you. Our settlement is damaged and our supplies are stolen. You, resistance, did all of this! Colbor: What?! That is not true! We have never set foot on the settlement! Not a single boot on the ground! Rafale: Liar! You were scouting on us this whole time since you entered Area Zero! Neige: No! They didn’t do it! (Neige and two caravan soldiers arrives) Rafale: Neige?! Neige: Stand down, everyone! They didn’t raid the settlement. Rafale: But…! Hmm…well, if they didn’t do it, then who did? Neige: These soldiers have witnessed it. Caravan soldier 1: The resistance didn’t enter the camp. They were there to stand guard. But we’ve spotted three unknown figures entering the camp from the woods. Caravan soldier 2: I agree! I eavesdropped as they escaped…and when I investigated, they looked similar to the three but then I noticed that they were using some sort of disguise modification. I believed that they were infiltrators. They were using the appearance based on them. Ciel: Then someone might be framing us! To demoralize our efforts in Area Zero. Zero: Weil… Colbor: Does that mean… we’re cleared of any wrongdoing? Rafale: (sigh) Alright, we believed you. Everyone, lower your guns! (Caravan members lowered their guns) Rafale: I may have a bad feeling about this. If they are indeed infiltrators disguised as resistance members, then we are becoming more concerned about Area Zero’s being exposed to Neo Arcadia. Zero: I’ll go and investigate these…infiltrators. Ciel: I’ll have the resistance to do some repairs and resupplying on the settlement. Just be careful, Zero. Caravan soldier 2: The infiltrators might be hiding in the woods area of Area Zero. You should search there. (Intro) Ciel: Be careful out there, Zero. We don’t know what those infiltrators might do when they’re discovered. Zero: I’m prepared for any thing they throw at me. (Reverts to its Variant Infiltrator form, battles Zero, gets defeated/bisected and dies) (2nd boss encounter) Faucon (infiltrator): Oh! You sneak! I’ll make sure you didn’t witness it! (Reverts to its Variant Infiltrator form, battles Zero, gets defeated/bisected and dies) (3rd boss encounter) Colbor (infiltrator): Hehehehe! So…you’ve found us, eh? Master Weil will know Area Zero’s true location. Just try to stop me! (Reverts to its Variant Infiltrator form, battles Zero, gets defeated/bisected and dies) (2nd briefing) (Zero returns to the settlement to see Ciel and Colbor wounded, Neige missing and the two caravan soldiers injured with the entire caravan aiming at Zero) Ciel: Zero!! Zero: ?!! Rafale: Zero…! You’ve returned! Zero: What’s going on?! Rafale: What’s going on?! You kidnapped Neige! Zero: !!! Rafale: Zero! You are now a threat here! It’s time we retire you! Colbor: …!!! Ciel: Stop! Please!! Caravan soldier 1: No! Listen! He’s the real Zero. He would never do such a thing! (Zero comes near the soldier) Zero: Tell me what happened? And where’s Neige? Neige: What a relief! I’m glad Zero manages to eliminate the infiltrators before they know of Area Zero’s existence. Ciel: Weil won’t be using more infiltrators anymore. Thank you, Zero. Colbor: And our identities are secured, that’s for sure. Zero: Yeah. Until now, we need to stay vigilant. Who knows what other ways Weil would use to know its existence.
