The reason you're not able to read the entire book is because then it would be a copyright infringement against the actual author of the book.. the authors want you to pay for their actual published book so they make a profit, instead of just buying a mini copy you can read for less than $10 from a toy brand.

The book nerd in me hopes they release a bookstore or library set so these can be displayed on lil shelves! Thanks for going thru so many, I love em! ^^

They didn't lie, they didn't say "every" page was readable. I don't care, it's not like I'm going to read the whole book from these tiny samples. They're good enough for my dolls. But I have read a few of these in real life, so that's cool.

Also about books not being fully readable. They could never make whole book readable - you can make pages smaller, but they can't make paper much thiner. So unless books were made unproportionally thick, they wouldn't be able to fit all text. But they at least include first chapter readable.

The hardback ones make it a step up from just the paperbacks. It'd be nice if the bookmarks were made of thin plastic rather than paper and had a little tassel string to hang over the side of the book. I wonder if the ISBN on the back are accurate.

I think the Burn Book is supposed to be blank so you can add your own entries or "burns" as seen in the movie "Mean Girls" I think my cousin bought a book like it so she uses it as a diary or something. Great coverage! Do wish some things were a little different, but under the circumstances alot of them are decent. I think they're not readable because of the amount of print that needed to be added or copyright reasons. Not 100 on that, just a guess. Stay golden 🪙 ✨⭐

A bit sad, that they didn't include art from Miss Peregrine's books. That serie have very interesting photos inside that imitate like archive/vintage photos.

These are so cool, definitely want to get some if they come to Norway. The hardcover are ofc the coolest I think. And I'm guessing they can't print the whole book, cause then you'd get 5 books for a very cheap price compared to what 5 books actually costs. I do love this book series from mini brands. I think the advertisement is what causes the disappointment. They could make it clear it's not a complete readable book. Overall i give it a 7.5 out of 10. Because i love them and now i have a mini book obsession. They are great detail on the front and back covers and do have great detail that any pages this tiny are readable. I do just wish someone really wrote a tiny book thats fully readable. It would be amazing 😍

I was only going to get a couple of these for fun, and I ended up buying… five so far? I watched a bunch of opening videos beforehand so I had a rough idea what to expect - I really wanted Black Beauty and Cat Kid Comic Club, but alas. The search for real readable tiny books then brought me to discover dwarsliggers/flipback books though so this series really inspired something in me 😂

I think thy should do the first 5-20 pages so it makes you go buy the book for the rest of the story. Depending on the book.

There are a lot of great comments here talking about why the whole book isn't readable, but I wanted to also mention the "gibberish" that's filling up the unreadable pages! It's called "lorem ipsum". It's perhaps the single most commonly used placeholder text, and it's been in use since the 1960s. As far as I know, it kind of is gibberish, actually, just. Latin gibberish! I'm not positive on that, though, it might only be slightly altered to be not grammatically sound. Still weird that they used it, though. They really should have just done more text, until they filled up the book. they definitely don't have as many pages as the real novels, so -- wait. I just thought about that realistically. Colleen Hoover is actually an EXTREMELY EXPLICIT adult author, and there's no way in ANY universe that they would EVER be able to print any extended section of any of her books without having to market this product to the ages 18+.

Samed thought. When I first saw the series I thought that's cool with mini books and pages. Now that I know they only printed literally the first 2 pages or so, i dont know. Plus not so sure BUT diary of a wimpy kid book supposedly has drawings so kinda a bummer that the pages are in paragraph form 😅

It might actually boost sales for some books if someone gets a mini and it makes them want to get the real thing and read a new book.

The only way they'd be able to have full readable books is they would have to choose ones that are.in the public domain. Then the books would have to be oddly sized, like super thick, to get everything in. What they did is fine. They look great with playscale dolls.

They didn't lie lol.. readable pages - there are at least 2 readable in most the books. I love books, I wish the were full readable books. I can't wait to get all the creepy ones, those are my fave, esp Vampire Diaries. I wish there was an all adult books version of these. Would love to see Sweet Valley High in future ones, that was one of my faves as a teen along with every YA & older horror book I could get my eyes on.

As a children's librarian, I'm a little bothered that the interior of the graphic novels (Dog Man and Cat Kid) are not in full color, as the originals are. I know the cost of production would be higher and it would present a problem as they also gave glossy pages, but it makes them subpar as believable minis.

These are great but uk ones are better as there shelves in the series to display books. Wish you coukd read whole book but that would mean they would charge more. They would have to pay author for his work.

They wouldn't be able to print all the pages of the books, because then they would be stepping on the toes of the publishers. Why pay $xx.xx amount for a book when you can get it miniature for $x.xx. I still think it's pretty cool though. Mad Libs is readable because it is the same game page over and over. You tear the pages out so each person can have one. So in my Barbie dioramas each doll has a paper. Now I need to find some find pencils. My fav is The Christmas Carol. When my Walmart gets some of these and I buy a few, I hope I don't get any creepy ones.
