Easier to control a ridden horse than a loose one in a field . Even Anne may have been kicked or head butted . A startled horse moves incredibly quickly as all us equestrians know.

Don't you hate that? Princess Anne needs some time together over this head injury it's not a nothing event the brain gets rattled around in the skill and hit hard enough you will loose memory of what happened, give her space to get over it it is a shock to the body and brain. A horse kick exerts 2,000 pounds of force. I was kicked by my daughter’s 15hh 2 year old filly without shoes on. I had both barrels and it took me clean off my feet. I got off light with a broken finger and severe bruising to the stomach. People have died through a horse kick to the head.

Princess Anne had a nasty fall at the Montreal Olympics when she landed on her head. Too many head injuries are not good. The RF are not always good at wearing riding hats. The late Queen would never wear one.

Especially with Seniors after a head injury, there is a high incidence of intracranial bleeding within the first 7 days. 1st symptom is a very bad headache. Luckily the Princess Royal is being observed in hospital.

Many years ago I had concussion (horse related!) a friend was with me then went on holiday for a week. I had no memory of how it had happened until she came back. When she reminded me I remembered everything and still do. Best wishes to the amazing Princess Royal. During the kidnap attempt mentioned she was reported to have said "not bloody likely" when told to get out of the car.

I sustained a head injury 51 years ago in a car accident! And still can't remember the actual accident or the morning prior to it, just of waking up in hospital a week later after being unconscious for a week. And still suffer with terrible short term memory problems, which are permanent.

I had a similar incident in my early teens, a d I was wearing protective head wear. Scarily I didn't know who I was, where I was and didn't recognise my own mum who was the first aide officer at Pony Club. Get well Princess Anne ❤

Since our late Queen died, I've always felt a comfort in knowing Princess Anne is there carrying on with duties in her usual 'get on with the job' way. When working as a secretary years ago at a world famous Midlands Car factory, Princess Anne was there one day on a visit. The staff were all lined up outside on a summer's day. It was very quiet, and I was near the presentation platform. I whispered to someone "where's Princess Anne?" and the girl next to me pointed and said quietly "there she is". The Princess was standing just a few inches in front of me (I could only see her back). No fuss, no bother. She got up, made a speech to the staff, did what she had to, and it was all very pleasant and regal. She's a wonderful woman and I love her. May Princess Anne get back to full health VERY soon and we thank her for her quiet no fuss years of duty.

I had a small bump on the head 3 weeks ago and its knocked me for 6. I hope Princess Anne all the best and wish her all the very best. I believe the King was right slimming down the working royals. I have met Princess Anne and have Always found her an amazing lady in every way. If it a concussion you still get invisible long term damage. I had a knock and concussion and looked up the info on it. If she had a head injury she needs to be under observation too as can get a brain bleed, bruising. You are not out of the woods. The actress Natalie and others have died from falls on ski slopes , even racing driver Schumacker who would have thought would happen to him .

Perhaps princess Anne saying she can’t remember how, is because she doesn’t want anyone to know? If she tells one person, even a doctor in hospital, it will get out. Look how we now know she said she doesn’t remember… who leaked that? It proves her point. Hopefully she didn’t lose her memory. - Recall decades ago when Anne was asked about her divorce rumors, (which were true), she snapped back at the reporter “Divorce? It was never mentioned!” and drove off. Good on Anne. 🌹

Could it be that KC downplays/sidesteps his role as defender of THE faith; not faith(s)?? Queen Elizabeth II was proudly and unashamedly Christian and had no problem talking about her commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. MM is a small fry in the overall scheme of things.

There are some pretty amazing royals who can fill the breach whilst people recover. Thank goodness. My son was in the Blues and Royals, and he said that she would always make sure she waved at and acknowledged the guards in her regiment if she drove past the guards on duty. She is a real trooper, and they have tremendous regard and respect for her.
