Trackman is THE most accurate launch monitor on the market. What do you mean it’s not that accurate? Tour pros would not be using them so religiously if they weren’t accurate…

None of them were low spinners in this video but I have definitely seen the low spin boosting on foresight hardware.

@@DaveBezeaugolf It's not actually boosting low spin shots, its because they used a specific ball to train the ball flight model on, which tends to fly longer on low-spin shots. It's obvious the balls being hit here are not the same ball as the one they trained it on.

That’s true! I was just going some research on that. Though the difference is minimal, it does add distance.

It did a great job outside considering the variables! Hopefully Foresight adds the option to adjust temp manually in the future inside the unit itself. The barometer picks up the heat from the battery so it’s pretty much useless and the default is sea level at 80°. I’m in San Diego so that’s not bad for me but if you live in Colorado it’s not great.

In my testing I've found spin is higher off turf vs a mat, which I would expect. For example off my Fiberbuilt player preferred mat I typically get 7500-8000 spin with my 8 iron but on turf with the same ball I see spin in the range of 8300-8800. Also lower launch angle off turf which also makes sense. I get the same numbers on my friend's GCQuad. Tho when I take it on the course and am able to measure what the ball really did I find GC3 is generally within a few yards of the real result unless there's wind or humidity that effect ball flight. Can't fault GC3 in those cases. GC3 does struggle with low spin drives and measures a much higher than realistic carry. Anyways thought you'd find that interesting. @@thesetzers8952 Started tonight. I bought the ProV RCT ball to compare results vs using standard ProV. Seeing some interesting data between the two units so far. They agree in some area but others they are very different.

The ball makes a big difference. I don't really take it to the range unless its one that has premium balls because the numbers just won't match my gaming numbers otherwise.

I see the same. Rarely do I get a carry significantly higher or lower than my real life numbers.

Yes just need FSX Play or 2020. You can also connect to FSX Pro in a mobile device.

Keith, interesting! No I didn’t find that the unit got the direction wrong. Ball flight matched what I saw in real life. You should contact foresight and see what they say about your issue. It’s possible you have a defective unit and they’ll replace it.

Sounds like your unit is not properly aligned with the alignment sticks, etc. Recheck those

Hey Tim! I used the barometer on the unit which measures altitude and temperature.

It’s designed to read driver off the tee. The best players in the world depend on this tech with the Quad and this unit uses the same tech minus the 4th camera. I really think you should reach out to foresight and trouble shoot it with them. Congrats to your daughter I look forward to watching her on the LPGA in the future :)

@@DaveBezeaugolf Probably no LPGA. Yes, my daughter is pretty good, but I see other 100 junior girls are also very good. There is just not much fame and money in LPGA. For fame, I can easily call out 20 PGA players, but I don't even know who the #1 LPGA player is now. Do you? For money, PGA prize money is higher, but more importantly, male players got so much endorsement. Most LPGA players don't get much sponsorship. Jordan Speith got $100M for 10 years from Under Armour. Rory got $100M for 10 years from Taylormade, etc. For LPGA player, if they can't be in top 50 for 10 years, they can't even retire. You know after $150K is your money. Players have to pay their travel, coaching, rehap, etc. That's $150K expense each year. if you you don't make the cut, you got $0 prize money, you lose money because you have to pay your travel, caddie, coach, etc.... If your prize money is only $130K (not easy), you actually lose money that year. We certainly know LPGA pros and we know their life style. My daughter says it is way tooo stressful. I think playing D1 is fun, but not LPGA. Actually many very talented junior girls don't end up with LPGA, simply because there is not much fame and money in it.

I used an Asus gaming laptop and usb connection. Zero issues with connectivity. Only challenge was it drained the laptop battery really fast

I bought a MSI gaming laptop just for this. You need NVIDIA GPU for sure, not integrated Graphic card.

@@EaglesXsandOs I think GC3 at this price point is the best overall launch monitor. But outdoors there is definitely a benefit to a radar like Full Swing KIT that tracks the ball so your carry numbers are more accurate. But FSK would be a pain to take one the course. GC3 is super easy to drop down next to your ball for each shot to get gaming numbers.

@@EaglesXsandOs pain because you need to set it up 8-10’ behind you and line it up with your shot. GC3 just plops down next to your ball and you can hit it’s much easier. Plus you have access to more info on the course because you don’t need a device to read it all like the KIT.

I agree the Launch Pro is accurate but I think it helps to prove it with real life testing :)

Thanks for the feedback! I honestly do believe those are real factors. I play a lot of golf around the coast and see the difference it makes when I go inland. The unit is very accurate for what it is. Next review is the Fullswing KIT which I just finished filming today.

It is accurate.. it’s going to get carry but it won’t get total cause he doesn’t follow the ball like a radar based unit, that’s why you take a measure value like carry and not worry about the calculated total And also unless you set the correct elevations and conditions it can’t measure correctly due to it doesn’t know nor does it have a radar It’s why radar based systems are better outdoors , but indoors they are crap Overall for the price and data points offered this is the best and most accurate in its price point by a mile The fact it reads the exact ball flight shows you it’s ridiculously accurate without the input conditions for the data outputted
