I don't under stand the check vents alarm keeps going off after a half HR or so

I am new to one and having problems understanding the battery charging life. I am renting one from Medicare with the idea of possibly buying one privately. As a rental it does not include a manual. Anyway, fully charged it from zero charge, which took awhile, about four hours I think. Then I used it for about 10 minutes a week ago set on one liter. When I went to use it next it was dead. I plugged it in to charge it and it was apparently completely dead. After several minutes it now says 10% charged. Is this unit supposed to be kept plugged in all the time, or on a certain schedule for a certain number of hours?

It sounds like your battery may have gone bad. It should last for at least a few hours after being fully recharged. This can sometimes happen if the battery has been sitting for a long period of time while completely depleted.
