Thank you for the effort, Professor Simon. It's a shame that the filming is really, really bad. When you think you'll be able to learn more about using the software ... nope, you won't.

As a student/lab tech, this is a good video and informative; Prof. Simon is clear and concise! My only critique would be if during the software portion he could implement a screen cast software instead of trying to use a Go-Pro.

@@chemfunman Thank you so much for reading my comment! I'd like to add there are many free video screen recording software apps online. OBS is popular amongst media influencers and the latest versions of Microsoft PowerPoint also has a built-in screen recording function. You're spreading good intellectual content for free (accessibility), and are improving humanity as a whole; thank you.

Thank you for your presentation. At every retention time and area peak value there are three compounds produced. My question is that do you use the same retention time for all the compounds within the retention time.

Thanks for your demonstration. I wonder if an MS detector alone can be sufficient for the identification of a molecule or if it must also be coupled to another spectoscopic system. Thanks again

I think it is possible using just MS first, check against a repository of database. Then, if not, going further into spectroscopic analysis is helpful.

depends on the run-time, and if you have auto-sampler in the system.

whoever is filming this needs to undergo camera training. the camera was out of focus 80% of the time. and if we want to learn exactly what's going on we need to be able to see what's exactly going on.
