An update to my MK8DX Mushroom City custom track, which adds lighting, shadows, and some other fixes.

You know you did good at making a MK8DX custom track when the only visible errors are the textures of four objects and everything else looks great.

Apparently, this course was supposed to be the original CNSW_66 (Wii Daisy Circuit). However, it was probably cut because it wouldn’t work in “Mario Kart Tour’s” engine.

As a Mushroom City lover, this is beyond beautiful! I love this tons! Everything about it is gorgeous! I love the Wiggler Wagon and the Mushroom Car in parts of the city! I have the same MKT model of that Mushroom Car over the Ptooie. Awesome addition!

Amazing how you put a 3d model of Mushroom Bridge in the far background of the track! I hope that Nintendo will do this as well if they choose to bring Mushroom City back for Mario Kart X

Honestly I'd love to see Mushroom City return as a dynamic course, changinh each lap like the other city tracks in 8DX, it'd be fun exploring Mushroom City as if it was meant to be a city course based on a real life place

Absolutely! Imagine driving the left way after the finishline and going up the bridges above the city, leading into a beautiful glider section near the end! Nintendo could do so much with this, it definitely has to return!!

this may not be an adventurous redesign like Toad's Turnpike was, but it's still great to see this on MK8 like i wanted. thanks for this!

Y'know what would be a REALLY cool twist if they decided to bring this course back? They could have it so that on lap 2 instead of driving around the gap in the road right before the finish, the Route change arrows could appear and force you could jump down THROUGH the pit and onto the lower level below. That way the rest of lap 2 and lap 3 are done in REVERSE with a glider ramp the take you OVER the gap like in this video's lap 3 but from the opposite end.

Having absolutely no memory of this track, I thought for sure until the end that that gap led to some sort of alternate path. But that idea is WAY COOLER.

This is great, the only thimg I want to point out tho is how bright the road looks at the beginning, it's almost yellow! Aside from that, this looks as good as base MK8!

I prefer Mushroom City than Toad's Turnpike but the MK Tour city courses are really fun and as complex (if not more) as Mushroom City.

I think the main reason they didn't use Mushroom City is that its layout is not only iconic but also its major detriment. The city streets are too narrow and would probably confuse new players. They would need to do a lot of re-scaling and reshaping, which they probably didn't want out of a retro track and would probably dishonor the original design. Unlike Moonview's more simple changes like shortening the length and making the cars more uniform in terms of speed, this track would've probably looked a lot different if it were added... then again I always get confused during the Tour City tracks so idk.

MK Tour's London and Paris are a lot more complex and confusing than Mushroom City's layout, so that's really not an excuse
