The rate of photosynthesis is affected by light intensity, temperature, carbon dioxide concentrations, and chlorophyll. In this video we explore exactly how, and also how farmers can use this knowledge to increase the yields of their crops.

does the graph always plateau because of the temperature, and the enzymes denaturing?

If the temperature is to high an goes over the optimum temperature for the plant it will denature the enzymes, which means the active site of the enzyme is changed so it no longer can react with substrates so the enzymes are denatured. Because of the denatured enzymes there is no reaction that is why the line will plateau or even drop to 0.

Thanks a lot, these videos help out a ton. By the way, does the 'higher tier' mean that it is outside of GCSE? As in, if I am only studying for a grade 9 in GCSE and do not plan on taking it after GCSE, do I or do I not need to know the 'higher tier' stuff?

You’ll need the higher tier stuff if you’re aiming for a 9 👍

Higher tier is the tier that gets u from a 1 to a 9, if u wanna maximise your grades learn the higher stuff,if not then do foundation but you're capped at a 5 or 6 I think
