Poole is still young, he can still rise again, plenty of time for him to do that
@OG_END_RACISM4 ай бұрын
What, you can never get comfortable thinking you have plenty of time. The now is now. Either figure it out or he'll become an afterthought. Whatever he's going through mentally he's got to hurry up and shake back. He's far too talented to have this kind of drop off.
@aminezouaoui95294 ай бұрын
It's true that he's still young but he needs the right mindset and the adequate environment to bounce, otherwise he will be at best a role player or coming from the bench, also the big contrat he get too early in his career make him somehow arrogant
@davidcrittendon46574 ай бұрын
He has time in theory but he has to really lock in and stop trying to make every play look “cool” all his peers around his age take the game seriously… Ant, SGA, Luka Fox etc. he has to take the game more seriously

The best thing that happened for Poole was learning/playing with the legend, Steph Curry, every single day. He clearly got tons of confidence from being around him. He looks lost and much less confident now. He has a lot of HARD work to do on his game now. Especially on the far less talented Wizards. Whatever he said to Draymond was NOT worth it to lose connection with Steph.

After Draymond knocking him out, being traded to the Wizards though he was one of the best players in the Warrior and helping them win the 2022 Finals against my team Celtics, and struggling because he needs to get used to being leader. I cant blame him for his collapse
@mannyach82844 ай бұрын
Some guys just need to learn to accept their role. Poole is a great talent but he is not a leading man or a point 2 for that matter. He needs to find his niche and he’ll be fine. When his shot is not dropping he doesn’t offer much else, which is a big problem in this league. Bones Hyland is a great scorer but you won’t find anyone calling for him to lead a team or even have him starting. Everyone just has to figure out who they are and stay in their lane.

I feel bad for Poole, but there’s no excuse for not doing your job as long as you’re getting paid. We demand the police, politicians, doctors, even NBA coaches to do their job. Same applies to a basketball player who earns way more than these guys. If he depressed he should speak out and seek help. But coming out every night with rubbish plays is worthy of mass criticism.

No way you can go from one of the top teams, winning a chip early in your career with a bunch of HOF'ers to being shipped off to a bottom of the barrel team with no superstars or huge TV ratings, Poole didn't want to have his own team that bad 🤦🏾♀this is a complete nightmare for him and he loved and looked up to Steph so much, to not have that relationship and Steph not being his teammate is killing him. I also heard the Warriors organization literally spoils their players, the family members and their friends and they pay for everything and fly their family and friends on private jets to games and pay for whatever they eat and drink, even Matt Barnes said himself he never seen anything like it, he said they are so spoiled and don't have to do anything but show up and play basketball. Poole didn't realize what he really had until it was gone, I think he thought all organizations were run like that but he quickly realized that's not the case at all, and he's heartbroken missing those guys😢

As a guy who lives in Brazil, basketball culture here is pretty closed off. You'll never catch your dad watching a basketball game in the living room with a beer like he does with soccer, partly because the games are usually on late at night, and for someone who has to wake up at 6 in the morning to go to work, it's just not feasible. That being said, I started getting into basketball in 2018. I don't really root for any team, to be honest. I catch some games here and there whenever possible. But in 2021 and 2022, I started following it every day, watched almost all of the Warriors' games in the regular season and especially in the playoffs, and man, JP became my favorite player of the season. It's sad to see the situation he's in. I hope he can get through it!🙁

Lol that ain't got nun to do with it. He just got traded to wizards & it's not his time to shine so he's literally selling. Curry/lebron still got the spotlight. This dude is making bank I'm sure he doesn't gaf what anyone has to say about him except for people close to him. & he could also be getting paid to play bad purposely. His talent doesn't just dissappear like that especially the way he was making half court shots and beyond in this video.

Dude had a lot of highlights with the Ws, but the reality is... he was a (below) league average 3 point shooter. Did a lot of cooking against 2nd units or benefitting from Steph's gravity. Somehow he is averaging less minutes with the Wizards than with the Warriors. Less 3 point attempts. And, his efficiency has plummeted.

Not really considering that his opportunities are drying up. If the wizards give up on him and continue to reduce his minutes, they're going to have to give up draft picks just to get him off their roster, which I wouldn't be surprised if they were to eventually do if they ever decide that they want to start winning. Granted, I feel like Poole may be a love-hate thing for the team, b/c he probably brought some new eyes to the wizards with people just wanting to watch the dumpster fire. That being said, if he keeps playing this poorly, he could probably see himself getting bought out at the end of his contract and out of the league immediately after as a result. He can turn it around if he does the following: 1. Takes defense seriously and takes the off-season to learn how to actually play it 2. Cleans up his ball handling so that he doesn't continue to depend on illegal moves to compete--when he started scoring too much doing it, refs started calling it 3. He needs to clean up his attitude and make a public statement about it so that his reputation can rehabilitate itself 4. He needs to study the game so that he understands how an offense should run so that he can evolve beyond what he currently is--a microwave scorer that is now a streaky microwave scorer b/c he has no one to hide behind on offense It's a tall ask, so tldr, this boy is probably going to be out of the leage by the end of his contract. He'll be like 27 when that contract is up and no one will want to pay a significantly below average defender nearing the peak of his prime that is on the edge of decline. He's legitimately has like a year to figure his shit out.

He play did drop in the playoffs b4 trade but they should've handled tht situation better than to just trade him for a late 30s CP3. Draymond should've been traded n now there in the standings with the worst teams in the west because they can't let go of the past success to generate future success.
