You just listed a bunch of things you want, most foreign workers demand less so more companies hire them. You are complaining about overcrowding of parks, yet you also complain about building of more parks (more parks=more space=less overcrowding). You want a lower cost of living, yet there are so many rules in place to allow people to have a roof over your heads. Work life balance technically is your own thing. You can go apply for a part time job so you get more time to rest and play as you wish. At least have a bit of common sense before complaining about these issues.

Jonathan, parks are built for locals and foreigners to enjoy. When we go overseas to work we also go to other people's park enjoy. Why must you discriminate against them. Don't forget, many foreign workers built these parks, they have the rights to go there see the parks they help to build. You want lower cost of living, then go to cheaper shops like Value$ for essentials and hawker centres for cheaper meals. The choice is yours. You want work life balance, then you can take up a job like insurance or property agents with flexible working hours measure by results. The choice is in your hand. You want government to force foreign companies to hire more locals which they have been trying but cannot overdo or they will leave. There are now many choices in other Southeast Asia countries like Thailand and Vietnam. You put down Skills Future but do you know many Singaporeans have benefited from it? If it did not work for you does not means it did not work for others.

@@jasonong5562 how often do you use the parks? My point is why is the government spending so much building unnecessary facilities then telling us they need to increase GST to burden us? They spend so much money building ERP 2.0 to tax us further, they don't even ensure that the money they spent is used to train and hire singapore citizens. The money they spend goes to foreign companies to train and built foreign workers. One day when u lose your job and goto WDA for help you will find they dont help u at all. Government need to make sure the money they spend help citizens get retrained and make sure foreign companies hire citizens instead otherwise what is the point of the foreign company coming to singapore.

The government exists only for rhe citizens we set our foot on this land and have no where else to go when it fails. @@deschan2246 I do believe the pap has definitely failed by neglecting the living conditions of the foreign workers which caused the balloon in covid cases but your theory that the virus is weaken by the Singaporean heat is very unscientific. The virus communal spread was well controlled by our efficient civil service contact tracing efforts, in fact the government poor handling of returning Singaporeans really increased the communal cases (they had to find their own transports home to serve their SHN, even if everyone adhered to the SNH which many didn't, the travel from the airport to their homes is definitely a risk) Of course this is said with the power of hindsight but our government's response to the virus was definitely far from the best in the world
