The song “Kauna’’ is based on the 6th rune of the Elder Futhark. Kauna, Kaunan, Kaun or Kenaz stands for the K sound. This rune can have multiple meanings. Kaun in Old Norse means wound or ulcer. It is also known as Kenaz (meaning torch) based on its Anglo-Saxon name. The deeper meaning of this rune symbolises warmth, enlightening and knowledge. Associated with ritual fires when celebrating the winter and summer solstice. Kauna, the great purifier, the torch and the wildfire, burns away the decay in the heart. The ulcer burns the body in sickness and Fire cleanses the soul, and lights the way.

This song is powerful yet also somehow peaceful. It reminds me of when one is in a battle and all of their surroundings go silent as time seems to slow to a stop. If I were to describe it with one word it would be "focus".

When I listenig Kauna with strong intention and sing the sound of the Kauna rune and say the name give strengh and power. I feel the fire🔥 inside and makes me want to move forward . I moving on and use my knowledge and skills I learned through the life in the future, The runes are Sacred alphabet and have deeper meaning. The four elments and value system are of great importance to work with and to understand them. fire, earth, water, air and ice ( fifth , old nordic ), nature, trees , amimals and the Value system ( world around us.) @@meganlodon maybe, but certain runes were changed, and forgotten. Iceland is a good place to go check out, they have the most preserved texts of the elder eddas and younger eddas.

in Finnish, Kauna means grudge, resentment, and rancor. we also use Arka, which I believe in old norse meant weakling. here it means sensitive and timid. so I suppose in a way it still stands for the same thing.

You're right! Todays history is turned upside down, most city names, places, surnames meanings across the whole world have Baltic/Lithuanian language origins. In Turkey there is Kaunos city as well. Kaunas means fighting or waring. Kauna is with inflection meaning that attack is happening. The glorification of Germanic tribes are a misleading history cover up, hiding the trails of Baltic people languages, or so to say Arian languages.
