This video is great, thanks for doing this! At the risk of sounding like a crab, please forgive me for saying the background music made it hard to hear the difference between the bell and xylo mallets.

You beat me to it, Aaron. Fine to have the music under the other parts, but during the demos... please no.

Orchestral percussion, sadly, is the percussion type I’m least familiar with. I did do band in middle school, but due to my autism, percussion was not an option for me. I had to go with sax. Not that I’m complaining about it, mind you, but drums and percussion are my bread and butter. I couldn’t see myself playing any other instrument. I’m not even that good at guitar. But the drums have been in my life forever and they’re not gonna leave it anytime soon. I admit I’m more familiar with drum kit and world drums (to a degree) but I’d be willing and interested in learning about symphonic percussion as well. Steve Weiss Percussion, you got yourself a subscriber!!!!!

Why do you play the Muzak behind her video?. Very distracting when she is demonstrating her sticks and mallets.

Nice demos! I agree, the background music is unnecessary. Maybe put it for intro and end of video?

Asahi Chemical, the manufacturer of Compo heads, changed its name to ASPR and they are still producing drum heads. Their SL line seems like what's equivalent to the compo head on her Hinger snare.

The 2nd snare drum (with the "bear" on the head) sounds, in this hall with this recording equipment, like a machine gun in an older game :D
