Really great LED conversion. Bit of a pity you didn't do a digital radio upgrade as well, I think that would have been awesome to keep the radio aspect of that devices as well.

No need for digital radio. Just a small buck converter from the battery to lower the voltage for the original radio. The work was nice but feels like giving it a dislike because of stupidity like this.

In my humble opinion these kind of rare vintage Japanese flashlights should be restored to their former glory - state. However I admire your know how skills about electrical & electronic modifications .

Was hoping you would update the radio portion of the unit maybe put a small FM radio board with an amp in and keep the radio function.

@@gear_show Here's an idea for an FM board. It won't look stock but it will have a radio. Go to a store that sells cheap bluetooth speakers. Shouldn't cost much, they have them in the states for $5. Buy one with a built-in FM radio in it and pull the small board in it out and use that for the radio. You'll get bluetooth audio and an MP3 player that can play from USB flash drive or TF MicroSD card as well as the radio. This has a built in mono amp which would work for this.

I think it's great because you rebuilt the old flashlight with LED technology. but you should still restore the radio part you can even install a Bluetooth unit so that you can also play your own music with your mobile phone and the radio should also work then the lamp is really perfect it's worth it great idea or.

LED化すると明るくていいですね。 もう指摘している人いるかもだけど、組み立てで肩掛けの紐を戻したとき、巻く向き逆じゃないかな。引っ張って紐が出てきたら調整が効かないと思う。
