9::06 - it also is perfect example of diffrence in acceleration between FWD and RWD drive.

Yeah, because tire friction depends on the contact force with the ground, it causes weight transfer to affect tire grip, must admit I was kinda pleased how that turned out. :)

Do the gears transmit force in both directions, or only one? Are they implemented with custom PhysX joints or are they only static meshes (doubtful)?

Yeah, the gears transmit torque in both directions. Everything is made of rigidbodies, with custom PhysX joints to constrain engaged gears together.

Really the only thing i could see that is missing is a controllable piston or some other kind of linear actuator (that doesn't utilize gears) so you could make a proper gearbox.

Yeah, the full game has linear actuators and stepper motors, either would be perfect for shifting gears! :)

What sort of solver system are you using for your drivetrain? I'm working on something similar.

I'm using physx joints (configurable joints in unity) to constrain the gears together, and a similar approach for pulleys & belts too.

My car goes really fast and spins out of control easily how can i prevent this pretty tame turning on highspeed can cause it, it lifts the frame and then also the wheels and in spins

Try lowering the torque and maybe make like 4:1 instead of 2:1 for slower rpm

This game is broken Did exactly like the video said reinstalled the game the fucking gears didnt even spin waste of money

The free demo is a waste of money? :) If you're having trouble with the gears spinning, make sure both axles are free to rotate (i.e. both have a rotary bearing), and that your construction is unfrozen. Or if the gears aren't engaged (rotating each other), make sure they're placed right next to one another, you should see a little green arrow between them if they're engaged properly. Cheers.
