I bought a brand with a red label and a big American flag. I put it in a Citroen C3 5 speed gearbox from 2010 that had a very very bad noise when riding in 3 or upper gears. The oil lowed the sound more then half. Later i tested on a Mercedes W169 A150 5 speed gearbox (ih has a known bearing issue). In the Merc the same fluid helped a little, the higher piched griding sound went away but the bearings could be still heard. I think that the Mercedes gearbox is just toast. I ordered new bearings 160EUR from the factory and i am going to bring the gearbox to the gearbox shop for theme to replace. But i will still add the oil aditive. I think that the aditive is just a general purpose Silicone Oil. Silicone oil is sticky and thicc. I used it once in a very worn out engine (Mercedes M111) with 580 000km on LPG city driving. It fixed all the smoke related issues. Next car i buy i will try to mix the gear oil and the silicone before putting it in to test out how well it holds up. cars with messed up gearboxes are very cheap
