In this video I have explained about Geared Motor ,it's advantages & Gear box ratio calculation in a simple way. Geared Motor are used in an industry in equipment like Rotary airlock , Screw Conveyor , Ash handling equipment etc. It has several advantages such as:
There is no requirement of input coupling.
Small space requirement for installation.
Compact design.
Do not required input shaft alignment.
Saves times for replacement & hence downtime.

One can determine the gear ratio by dividing the output speed of a Gearbox by its input speed (i.e., i = Output RPM/Input RPM), in your case Gearbox ratio = 6/1300
