FYI... no need to install a different mod to go back to the "dead grass look"... just locate Aydin's Grass Tweaks in MO2 and reinstall... it has four different options and includes a description of each... the winter option gives the "dead grass look". CHEERS!

Absolutely agree on the quest money tag. There should be an amount the npcs are willing to pay you next to the task. I hope to see this get implemented in future updates

Here's the thing about the grass and reshade. The old one looks better in some areas (mainly south of Red Forest) but the current one is way better in places like Radar, Zaton, and Jupiter. I think I'd be cool to see selective shades and maybe have it kind of blend between areas. So say garbage has dead foliage (because its garbage) but Agroprom has alive foliage. So when you are transitioning between areas you start to see a gradient of 'color'. Its a small thing but man I think that would work well. Dead areas for sure: Cordon, meadow, great swamps, garbage, radar, liminsk, hospital, outskirts, and NPP. Alive areas for sure, Agroprom, Army Wearhouses, Red Forest, Jupiter, and Zaton.

I was watching your stalker vids just looking around for videos to watch and I found myself watching your vids a lot when they came up. Just getting started w/GAMMA (maybe 4-5 days' game time in so far). Thanks so much for mentioning the scroll wheel fix. It's been driving me nuts for days! Loved the vid; subbed for more. BTW, ran into 5 mercs in that same Flea Market area with no help. Hiding in the rubble prevented them from using tactics and I was able to get a very nice G36C and 3-slot armor early game. Should have died there; no idea how things went in my favor.

Pro tip, use caffein tablet right after you consume yadulin or ibuprofen, it reduces the dizziness effect

another tip for you Mutants do not go in the water so in case you are near water, it may give you the choice between some rads or quick kill. Plus this version of gamma nerfed the rads to come slightly slower than instantly as before. Like your Stalker Videos keep up!

I was honestly not a fan of the new foliage at first, but it grew on me a good bit. The biggest annoyance was getting shot through bushes but there's a mod you can enable in the Gamma mod manager to fix it so they can't see through them. Edit: Holy shit you're a lifesaver with the tip to fix the slow scroll bug. It ALWAYS happened whenever doing a repair/sorting sesh and it would tilt me off the face of the earth

Note: You can make an Advanced Tool kit using 5 Basic Tool kits so keep collecting that Vodka.Getting a .45 auto weapon this early in the game is great, now all you need is the Ammo kit and you can break down all the pistol ammo you don't need and turn them into .45HS.

Well, the drug you use in 17:52, it has 50% rad protection (higher than the actual rad protection itself and also cheaper) for wopping 15m! Now Grok rebalanced it, still post heal leg but just a little.

You should really turn on Anti-Aliasing to at least x4, it makes a massive difference (need to restart game to take effect)

Clear sky sells 3 different upgrade kits for the r700. They're like 30-60k. It's too sexy of a gun to leave it stock

I don't know if you edit it out when going through the stash, but you really should grab everything in it so long as you don't go too much over your carry weight. It's overall more effective and that way you don't forget to grab any useful items. Plus even if it is mostly worthless junk now. You can use it for better things later on. Granted this is a somewhat older video, but I feel like it's worth saying regardless.

You can start with the military version of the Thompson for 400 points. Same gun, just no drum mag. I use it instead of a shotgun or pistol as its great for humans and mutants.

I went way slower on my game, since I prefer to be tooled to the max before trying to get deeper into the zone I spent a lot of time grinding through tasks and collecting stashes for loot and equipment. Means I always take longer to get anywhere but I'm usually well-equipped for it when I do move on.

I like the look of the green grass

I like the lush green summer look of this and Lost Alpha for a couple of reasons. For one, it gives me back the nostalgic, amazing feelings that I had when I played STALKER for the first time back in summer of 2007. But what really gets me going is the contrast. The verdant paradise above hides an absolute horror beneath its surface. It's like a cruel joke from the universe.

You can see the fire mode and number of rounds in your mag in the bottom left where your health is. And if you want you can also toggle some hud elements with enter on the numpad. Also, what is the key to inspect your weapon?

Keep two of the camp fire healing artifacts as the healing is VERY fast. Hell level up a firefly to give +4 healing and a chain for about the same. Just swap it when needed.

I think you can disable the spring foliage mod and turn the grass and leaves back to a more barren, brown autumn type of foliage. Saves a bit performance too

Gamma won't run full screen for me on anything above 1920x 1080 so I have to put it in borderless, not sure what's going on there but it works at least.

Seriously, if you that are reading this coment are like me who started to play GAMMA recentely (post 0.9 update) and like to keep your game updated, make sure you have two installations of the game in your computer, one that will be your "playing installation" and other to be the "update test installation". The game is updated almost daily, but more often than not these updates break something within the game, creating a bug that was inexistent before. Sometimes you can't even launch the game or load your save file after the update. So, to not have to wait for another update solving the bug that didn't exist before, you can use your "update test installation" to test the update and see if it will not break your game. I wasn't doing this untill recently, but after getting my playthrough stalled for two times because of buggy updates, I reached this conclusion.

I like the grass not being dead it looks more like Chernobyl itself. Which is far from being dead looking. Chernobyl is thriving even to this day.

I have 2 questions: - For the AutoLooter mod, what kind of settings did you set for it? - The Aiming down sights, how do you get that extra zoom, is it some kind of key bind or something?

Be careful with the autolooter. I ALT TABBED in my stash and dismantled everything. Cost me a half hour cause I forgot to save. Would suggest rebinding or disable the mod if not using it.

In my opinion dead grass is better it gives off that desolate,despair and hopeless vibe in stalker the greens just makes stalker more how to say it "full of life?" although it is a beautiful sight it kinda kills off that negative feeling when traversing the exclusion zone but that's just me. Also try out the KS-23 if you find one that shootgun its a beast.

My Gamma does not do the skinning animation but I'm still locked into the camera moving and I cant move for 2-3 seconds (similar to equipping gear) ANy idea how to turn that off?

I like the new grass I think it makes the game look a lot more realistic but I wish there was dead grass in some areas and the new grass in others. Maybe the closer you get to chernobyl the more dead grass would be nice?

i've been trying everything and my game still stutter every 2-5 seconds and when going into my inventory, it's unbearable. The game will always stutter a bit at times and i'm fine with it but not every 2-5 seconds. I guess i will just keep watching your videos for a smooth experience lol. PC Specs: GPU: 3070 CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 16 GB 3000 Mhz Ram i'm planning on upgrading my mobo and cpu so my GPU isn't bottlenecking but it hasn't really been problematic in other titles. Update: started a new playthrough and it the stutter is much less now but it will probably get worse the longer i play, kidnap weird.
