Xbox has made a lot of changes which I think a lot of people are concerned about, because of uncertainty and unclear plans about exclusivity. But it’s ridiculous to state they’re going 3rd party, devs aren’t supporting the platform or hardware is going. I agree with Jez - there is a lot of positive things about the Xbox platform right now like game pass giving great content and value, June Xbox showcase and 10 Xbox first party games coming this year alone! Sony has 0 first party games this year, declining hardware sales when they are solely reliant on it, $10b stock drop, 6 live service games cancelled (at least), changing business strategy twice and even their fourth CEO is concerned about the finances of the PS - the market leader.

COD is not gonna move hardware for xbox I doubt it will even really move GP subs. Who's MS market for this? Most likely your avg ps owner who plays cod and maybe fifa each year. How many are gonna buy a series s and a 17 dollar sub for Cod that they are just gonna play cod along with one other game a year. People are putting too much hope in Cod to be a game changer.

Don't people understand these theses numbers with the revenue. They are inflated numbers and dont tell the whole truth. This numbers are mostly based on the aqusition, so they look great. The fact is that they are actually operating at loss due to the purchase. 31% down on console sales. Yet this Play anywhere no console needed. Mobile, handheld, tablets, PC, consle and your T.V. Then based on that logic then Gamepass subs should have substantially grown and they havent. They have completely stagnated. I dont see GTA 6 moving the needle much on Xbox. Most 3rd party games are bought and played on Playstation. Also, if Playstation get the marketing for GTA 6 with the PS5 Pro coming out, its a problem. Especially with no PC release. Whether its 30fps or not on the PS5 Pro. It will still look abd play better on that platform. Hopefully with COD and these other games they gain new subs to Gamepass. Too early to say its a complete failure....

Sarah Bond talk's about how she wants Xbox on every device, but it already is. There's way more options to play Xbox games than just the console itself (e.g., PC, Steam Deck/ROG Ally, streaming via PC/tablets/phones/Samsung TV's). If you have a computer/phone/tablet, a decent internet connection, and a controller, you can play every Xbox game day one. Why invest time/money/effort to port games to your direct competition when players there can already access those games on devices they own?

Everyone always hyped up the showcase. Instead of new games being revealed, I hope they reveal RELEASES DATES for the games they have shown. The pipeline is crazy, but we need them to now be released.

I don’t think people are being honest with themselves just for the sake of conversation and content. MS has a roadmap for hardware for more than decade from now. Maybe even more. Xbox best move would be to actually move the console market to PC. What if the rumors of steam and other games are true not because the next Xbox will bring them in, but because the next Xbox is going to be a windows box at the heart. Add to that, what if this forward compatibility team is there to bring Xbox native games to the new platform? I have to believe there is a strategy here, but it’s to change the console market, not leave it.

I’m curious did anyone really think all the studios Xbox owns would be exclusive. You only need a couple of games to be exclusive to your platform to make it desired. At the most as Xbox is so far behind in the market I don’t see why they would need more than 4 - 6 a year😀

Damn, the Sony fanboys found this early. On the financials, yeah, Xbox bought ABK to be more profitable...just like how Sony wanted to do and why they bought Insomniac and Bungie. People are honestly deluding themselves into thinking that Xbox numbers are illegitimate because they bought into it. That is how it works. Whether the likes of IGN like it or not, Microsoft owns ABK now. They are not a separate entity, they ARE Xbox. ABK's numbers had a huge boots to Xbox's revenue...which is what the likes of EA and Sony wanted. Everyone was bidding to buy ABK, but Microsoft were the ones to get it and that is that. I can see more games going to Sony, the success of Sea of Thieves and Grounded only proves that. Though I suspect that not everything will. Probably anything ABK makes though. What I suspect is that Xbox is going to turn more into a PC over time. That is honestly how both Xbox and PS have been moving towards, though Microsoft have been pushing faster in that regard, but Sony is moving in that direction too. I suspect in 10 years that the PS and Xbox will literally just be lower end PCs that you hook up to your TV instead of a monitor. It will be the ecosystem that ultimately drives sales of the boxes, though that will mater less and less as the industry continues to move towards subscription services. The industry is changing and changing fast. I do with Xbox was better at presenting themselves though. They have always had an image problem. Marketing and PR have always been an issue and continue to be one. Sony does not have this problem as they are in other industries that require heavy marketing. Who knows, maybe with Xbox now generating so much revenue Microsoft will finally give them a decent PR team and a marketing budget bigger than two dimes. Though one thing that absolutely annoys me is all those special Xboxes they make for give aways. Like, why not just make those a limited edition to be sold?! People would buy the shit out of an X-Men themed box!

Maybe Xbox should focus on finishing developing the games they announced in 2019/2020 before having the gall to talk about more games. "The next Fallout will come much sooner than later".
