*Awesome! Thanks for the reduction gears!* Please make an updated video in which to paint the gears. Seeing each gear or pipe in it's own color makes a world of difference. I saw it in a few youtube videos on advanced suspensions in Scrap Mechanic, and I I can't believe people don't do this more often, in tutorials. Here are the video names, if you want to see how much of a difference it makes: "Realistic suspension for beginners - Double wishbone suspension ", and "Realistic suspension for beginners - 3 link suspension "

Wow I'm very impressed. I'm going to have to check out your workshop when I get home. I was already very impressed before I saw the cvt. The rest I understood pretty well but I thought cvt's had to have some kind of belt or chain arrangement with two cone shaped gears to attach the belt to. I had no idea it could be done with gears so I'll definitely have to get a closer look at this!

any interest in a new challenge build? id like to see something that walks like a spider, being able to go in 8 directions would be cool but not necessary. if you havent heard, Scrap Mechanic recently received a survival update, just stumbled upon you now and binged your vids, i know theyre 3+ years old but damn theyre good. hope you come back

Do you think, with the current game/physics engine, you would be able to incorporate your V8 engine, CVT, and some sort of independent suspension system? If so, the chassis would be enormous I would imagine!😱😱😱 It would be hilarious to see though and amazing if it worked relatively well.

Eru could you make a geared mechanism with an overspend governor? Perhaps a transmission with a speed limiter.

+Tommy Wizard I have actually made an overspend governor that works but have yet to find a way to use it.

Great stuff! I was working on something similar some time ago, differential, gearbox, piston engine, but game just couldn't handle everything with acceptable FPS. At the end, I just published a differential car with manual and automatic diff lock feature that works great: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847124586 Now, you gave me motivation to try once again :)

Unfortunately the gears don't work as well as they did because of changed hitboxes
