Super interesting to see Gears 2 guardian is still going strong in 2024. Must be about 9 years since I properly played Gears 2 on 360. Was a heavy Guardian player, started the game with like a 0.2 kd in multiplayer barely able to kill anyone, and worked my way up to 2.6 kd by the time I stopped. 25 million+ points, around 400th worldwide in leaderboards, about 140k kills, most played game of my life. I still remember clutching a 1v5 on Guardian on numerous occasions, particularly on River and Security. Used to hate Ruins and Hail, they were just awkward maps I felt though Hail is quite good from a strategic standpoint. Included 'BOUNC3' in my gamertag I was so committed to the game, though I had considered 'SPONG3' instead since I apparently was a total bullet sponge Also can't forget the glorious feeling of breaking my chainsaw to glitch out and kill other scumbags that had glitched out of the map. Going invisible on the likes of Jacinto, Blood Drive, Hail and Stasis was also so fun to do albeit rather frustrating for the other team. Killing people by blind firing the mortar used to be absolutely hilarious too, I used to accept basic deaths just to get the mortar Private match lobbies with wall bounce battles, they were just immense. If you're a real vet you may well remember a few different clans - 2rue, W4RR10R and SOLD13R. Also GANSTA and xDEADLY but less people were in those. Spartan warrior as I recall basically always had host. Can't believe the first game had DARK HATER in there, still playing the game I see What is this being played on?

Yeah that first match was very tough. They were crossing and pushing together like crazy. Doesn't help when teammates give up and leave the match. Damn I've only seen that map less than a handful of times (second match). Very cool looking. And of course more teammates leave this match too.

So sad they dont remake the holy gears trilogy. How bad Xbox is struggling to sell series X/S. Down 35% of hardware sales. Minority want gears 6. Gen Z goofs that started on gears 4 want gears 6. The SUPREME MAJORITY and OGs want gears 2 and 3 remade. Not remastered. Gears 2 and 3 remade (like Resident Evils type remake) the trilogy that sold tens of millions more and were and will be again played fair longer online as a sustained community than gears 4, 5, 6 could EVER DO. That's why the coalition can't remake gears original trilogy. It would make them look like the failures they are. Because the oringal 3 gears not made by them, literally poops on their gears games and will poop on gears 4 through 6 even more NOW if remade. It's sad that in 2024 there are as many players online playing gears 2 and 3, a 2008 and 2011 games than gears 5. Heck, there are more people on gears 4 than gears 5 currently as online players. Gears 4 and 5 sales were such a disaster that Microsoft NEVER put out their sales figures. Rumors say, gears 4 sold less than a million units. Like 400k units and that was pre gamepass....... so there are no excuses on that. Gears 5 sold EVEN LESS. Heck gears ultimate edition and gears judgement sold more than a million units. that's so sad. I HATE the coalition they are straight trash developers. Bring back Cliffy B to fix the gears franchise 😂😂😂😂😂
