I forget how wild Dom was for saying if he wore a helmet he wouldn’t be able to see snipers. Legit dissed the rookie’s dead brother for no reason.

I always saw Ben Carmine as my favorite. A fresh green recruit, but proved himself in battle. I always loved playing him in Horde mode.

I’m still frustrated that Benjamin was killed off that early, I feel like they could’ve done so much more with his character.

I was glad to see Clayton survive. It was terrible seeing so many people voting for him to die. That would have been brutal for the Mother as she would have lost another son.

Gary doesn't seem to be damaged when the ball fell, you can see him falling backwards intact, and in a gears game if they wanted him dead they would show him crushed or a splatter of blood to confirm it, and if he was knocked out by the ball he could have bin missed by the snatcher that attacked later

Carmines have been stabbed by a giant locust, sniped, digested alive, crushed by a drop pod and hit by a Hammer of Dawn miss fire. The Gears franchise is cruel, and especially cruel to the Carmine family.

The Carmines may be the unluckiest but they were certainly the coolest group of cats the Gears ever had. Benjamin was always my favorite..he and I have a lot in common..such as our love for flamethrowers.

I really hated Lizzie’s death. Such a disappointment how fast she went.

Always pleased to see Gears of War get more appreciation on the lore side of the franchise. Benjamin is easily my favorite in the Carmine family. He's the most relatable since I'm the youngest of 5 siblings and I just love how innocent he was. Hits me hard still when he died in the Riftworm.

Clayton rly was the best Carmine. the Gears of War 3 death fakeout pissed me off thinking he died right at the end. the wave of joy i felt when he picked up his helmet was imesurable

Considering how some of them died, I hope somehow some of them come back. Whoever: "I thought you died." Carmine: "I walked it off."

Just one thing about this video around 14:33, just in case someone gets the wrong idea about Marcus and his decision to give Tai a gnasher. Marcus didn't give Tai a gnasher for him to end his own suffering. He thought that Tai would help fight, even a little, so they could get medical help for him later. Marcus noticed that Tai was acting strangely when he started to make unusual noises, and turned to see that Tai was raising the barrel to his own face. Tai was usually a strong willed character, so no one thought his mind and body would be broken so easily. That's why he was given a gun. Everyone there was saddened and/or shocked about that. Just to clear things up about that part.

Unluckiest yes but god dam the Carmines have the coolest headgear in every Gears game.

I remember loving the character of Anthony Carmine in the first game. I related to him more than any other character. Young, inexperienced, in awe of the hardened veterans around him, desperate for their approval, eager to show what he was made of and prove himself to the squad AND to himself. I was super affected by his death He was a real one

I do find an interesting that the developers did a Jason Todd on us. Allowing us to decide Clayton‘s fate which is pretty fucked up but also understandable since this was a meme and not A lot of people know how to properly end a meme.🐱

Out of every carmine Benjamin's death hit me the most considering he's probably the youngest gear in the whole franchise and known for being a nervous goof ball teenager who's just brave enough too experience what real battle actually is, makes me feel like it was a real "waste of potential" too just kill Benjamin off like that but every carmine is like Kenny from south park i suppose heh and great video you made btw I'm glad to see a at least someone who actually did a video explaining the whole family tree of the carmines

A part of me is still waiting for lizzie to show up with some burns like J.D but sadly I don't think it's gonna happen which sucks cause although our time with her character was brief as all hell she was so awesome that I instantly liked her and she easily could have become one of the greatest female gears characters if they didn't kill her off.

Benjamin is my favourite gears character I think. He was so full of life. Clayton is a badass and for a while he was my favourite Carmine but I mean Benjamin was funny without actually meaning to be funny. He wasn’t cracking jokes, he was just cute for lack of a better term. I was absolutely devastated when he died. My child self never recovered from that. Going back to gears 2 knowing how the rest of the carmines fared really made it that much more tragic. And it’s not like he had a quick death like his brother Anthony. At least Anthony just had a quick snipe and was done. Benjamin suffered and was scared when he died. His last words are pain. “Sarge? I hurt Sarge…. Tell my brothers… my Ma.. tell ‘em I love ‘em.. and.. and..” Bro didn’t deserve that. He really didn’t. Poor lad. 😭

If Carmine was afraid of E-holes and when he picked up the device near alpha squad. It shows growth.

Benjamin was my fav of the family just felt really bad about his death by far he got the worst in the entire gears series

Outta all the gears lore and side characters, the Carmine's were genuinely the ones that stuck out to me. I was honestly gutted when Lizzy died man..

When I first played Gears I was a little confused about Anthony's death. The auto health regeneration system was still relatively new at the time so I thought because of their armor he would have been downed from the sniper first.

Man i love all the carmines. A piece of me dies everytime i have to see them die. Lizs death hits hardest as it really shows the devastation of the hammers of dawn and their collateral damage. She was awesome! She was just trying to help people and sadly thats what costed her. I love gears 2s turtorial just talking to the kid carmine how he admires war heros like marcus. He hurts the most to watch die. Wish gears would stop killing them

There's got to be more Carmines than we've seen.

As the oldest of three brothers, Clay's story really hits hard for me. He's genuinely my favorite character from the franchise because he has that perfect mix of sympathy, mystery, and badassery that makes for a great character. I'd honestly love a spin-off about him in the early days of the Locust War.

"Heavily militarized focused family" that's 99% of humanity in GOW lol they were fighting for around 100 years straight (minus 6 weeks) between the start of the pendulum wars and the end of the locust war

Such a unlucky family and yet had the most badass people in that world RIP for all the Carmines that have been lost and know you will never be forgotten, you will always be an inspiration and will always be true brothers and sister of war and i think i speak for all when i say we wouldnt want any1 else by our side

I could see Clay and D trying comfort their Mom as she grieves over what happened to Anthony and Benjamin. She propably cried everytime Marcus sees her, emapthizing with her situtation, while lashing in anger and sadness at everyone, due to having to bury two of her sons. No doubt, their father must be dead too. I could see her and Dom bond over this, due to Dom losing his whole family. Still a parent losing his child can really break them, especailly if they are a widow, considering her husband likely perished in the war, leaving her to raise all four brothers by herself, only to lose two of them.

Someone once said "the carmine curse isnt dying. Its being the last one alive."

Man fuck what they did to Liz, they finally properly introduce a new Carmine for the first time since Gears 3 (let’s face it, Gary in 4 was basically an easter egg), have Clayton interact with one of his last remaining family members the first time since we last saw him in 3, they make her super likable (more so than fucking Kait), and they kill her. Killing Carmine’s was hardly even a tradition, it only lasted two games, Clayton lived, Judgement didn’t have a Carmine, and Gary had less screen time than Anthony. If they really wanted to fuck with us, they should’ve gone a step farther than Clayton, maybe even make Liz the Dom of the new group, player 2, and then tease her death throughout the entire campaign only for it to never come.

I'll take lizzy carmine over Kate Diaz any day. I think it was foolish to kill her off so early. They should've kept her at least until the final battle with the kraken and had a scene with Clayton taking her COG tags, though I actually would've preferred that she lived to be in Gears of War 6.

Because of how much I loved the carmines and thought they were the most badass in the games I used to think “awe yeah when I have my fist some imma name him carmine”

I first played gears of war 1 when I was 8 years old, I’m 24 now, Ik judgement is lowkey hated but I love it personally, 1-3 are peak and I love judgement for what it is, I always come back to these lore vids and stuff, I didn’t realize Clayton was technically in gears 2 fighting with us but we don’t see him till 3, love that

The Carmines are basically just Good Ol Boys, they just don’t have the accents.

I remember when Xbox did a poll to see if the community wanted Clayton to die or survive. It was with t-shirts for your xbox avatar. One said 'Save Carmine' and the other said 'Die Carmine' if i remember correctly. I got the save carmine shirt straight away after what happened with Benjamin. Good memories.

Some people say Gary is still alive I hope he is. And I want to see the other brother in the next game. To be honest I don’t want anymore carmines to die there my favorite characters.

Welp looks like you'll need to make an update for this video because E-day been announced. I strongly believe that the new Carmine will be the 4 Carmine Brothers dad, what makes this most likely is that while Benjamin was dying, he tells you to tell his brothers and his mum that he loves them, but doesn't mention anything about his dad, possibly meaning that their dad is already dead. So I believe their dad will be the Carmine in Gears of war E-day and sadly have the Carmine curse

Anthony, unfortunately, lived up to the moniker “most likely to get shot”. He was a good soldier just careless at the worst moments. Never really got to see him in a positive light at all. Ben Carmine, despite being as green as a blade of grass, had a ton of potential as a gear and he felt like he was gonna pee himself at impactful moments of Gears 2. He held his own against an onslaught of locust after he made into the inner hollow and at that moment I had more respect for him. Kid had balls. Not my favorite Carmine but he was honestly better than Anthony. His death however was just gruesome, practically almost eaten alive. Gary Carmine in Gears 4 got robbed of a role. He could’ve joined JD, Del and Kait to recruit Marcus back into the fray but because of a more authoritarian first minister’s unwillingness to investigate the disappearance of her citizens, he died. Lizzie Carmine had a sweet intro but unfortunately died thanks to JD’s brave yet very dangerous actions in demanding Braid fire the hammer. Can anyone really blame Braid for being distant with him after he almost got killed? Clayton Carmine, up until the onyx guard was added in gears 3 was my go to character for horde and multiplayer matches. I loved his lines, especially: oh hate to take fire and run, but gotta go. Lol. I was so happy he lived through all of gears 3 and on. It just sucks that in exchange for allowing a Carmine to finally survive a gears of war game, we lose Dom. I’m still not over that. Clayton and Marcus are literally two soldiers than have lost everyone in their families (especially if you choose to save Del in gears 5).

I don't think the Carmine family is unlucky, I think they're just normal soldiers. They're not Marcus or Baird or Cole, so they don't have plot armor to protect them. They're what the war is really like for the average COG soldier.

I stopped at Gears of war 3, it was a satisfying end for me after seeing the last Carmine brother survive.

I'ma be real, I LOVE the carmines but Lizzies Death felt so damn cheap, pure shock value and nothing more "Here lets introduce an awesome new character, oh and she's dead" Like... come on. At that point it's just status quo writing.
