@Sweepy57 be careful on your last try but don’t be nervous because you get 3 chances then you’ll have to wait 90 days to retake. Tbh my last try I winged it because I hate maths as well. I winged it because every time I took the practice test by going off my best bet I passed but that one time I watched a lot of KZfaq videos I failed I’m guessing it’s because my brain was confused. Try taking some of the practice test I’ll help.

that is a good question... if i may... i find the answer you when you use 3.14 is the same answer when you use 3.142 but rounded up. ex: 3.14*5=15.7 then 3.142*5=15.71. i hope that helped.

On the GED formula sheet, you are asked to use 3.14, so you can stick to that. I have a bad habit of using more digit because in engineering you are required to use as many as possible to reduce marginal errors.

Tyler Edmonds they dont let you use it manually but they have a calculator and scratch pad on the screen that you can use. Its very easy to use. They also have all the formulas and equations so you dont have to remember it.

Thanks for the comment and great observation. It's funny you are the only one who has asked. I'm glad you did. You'll notice that in the beginning of video one we wrote that this series will be two parts. 25 questions for first video and 25 questions for second video. However, the second video has only 15 questions. Video 2 ended at question 40. We had 10 questions on data analysis but we took it out. We have decided to post a third video that will be the "perfect" GED data analysis video.

Lol I just noticed that. Well, when the next video comes I will be ready to take notes. If you feel it to be applicable, maybe you could do a video with a certain amount of questions where you leave it to us (the viewers) to solve on our own, give us a few mins to work it out then you provide just the answers would be challenging and those who didn't get the answer correct could comment below the video about what question they got wrong. Just an idea.

When you divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, the inequality sign flips direction.

you have to take the GED Ready test which is the practice test. If you pass the practice test then you should be offered to take the test online. At least that is how it has been set up here in California. I'm not sure if it is the same in Maryland, but I hope this information helps and I wish you the best of luck.

When cross multiplying the top number is your position after the cross multiplication. So when we did 2 * 7, the 14 was on the left because the 2(which is the top number) was on the left. Similarly, when we did 4 * 3, the 12 was on the right because the 4(which is the top number) was on the right. So it's actually relevant to the top number.

Mode: occurs most often, in this case it's 4. Mean is the average. Just add up the numbers and then divide it by the number of quantities. In this case it is 35 divided by 7 = 5 Median: The middle quantity. That's it.

Just google, "what is the value of pi". Pi is 3.14159265... You can use any number of decimal places. so pi can be 3.1 --- one decimal place 3.14 ---- Two decimal places 3.142 ----- Three decimal places 3.1416 ---- Four decimal places and so on It's just how many decimal places you want to use. Now in the GED they tell you what to use (which is usually 3.14). In other test they might ask you to use 3.142 or 3.1416. If you are not told what to use, then you can pick any of them and your answer will be close to the expected results. In engineering the more the decimal places the better, so we prefer 3.142 than 3.14

On the GED you'll be provided with a formula sheet. That will tell you what to use for π. For the GED formula sheet π = 3.14, but it's important to check the GED formula sheet before using it. Also, questions are set such that whether you use π = 3.14 or π = 3.142, you should be able to see the answer

No you’re wrong because 6 divided by 3 =2 but 3 divided by 6 = 0.5 which is the same as 1/2

3/6=1/2.. 3 is half of 6

Consider the numbers this way, 1/2 is 0.50 and 1/4 is 0.25. I added a zero to 0.5. In math you can do that because adding a zero to a decimal doesn't change it. so you can write, 0.5, 0.50, 0.5000 -- are all the same. Since they are 2 decimal places you make all your answers two decimal places by adding a zero to all the one decimal place. 0.2 -- is one decimal place so I'll change it to 0.20 0.5 -- is one decimal place so I'll change it to 0.50 0.25 -- is already two decimal places so no need to change it 0.75 -- is already two decimal places so no need to change it. Now I can compare 0.20, 0.50, 0.25 and 0.75. Since they are all the same decimal places now I can compare the raw numbers 20, 50, 25, 75 with this you can see that 0.20 is the smallest, then 0.25, then 0.50, then 0.75. Hope this helps. Just use 3.14 for both. That's what is currently used on the GED test. you'll be given what to use for pi on the test. But even if you use 3.14 or 3.142, the difference in answers will not be significant for you to choose the wrong answer.

UltimateAlgebra It desperately does indeed. The American education system has slipped and failed poorly in recent years. My son will never have those opportunities to succeed. He’s 16 and has the comprehension level of a 5th grader. No one cares, no one will create a solution. The schools that are available for him are exponentially off the map expensive. For the rich. ☹️

if you add the numbers given and divide by the amount of numbers it would be : 2 + 3 + 2 + 6 + 5 = 18/6 = 3 (18+x) / 7 = 4 1. multiply by 7 on both sides to cancel 7 out on the left 18 + x = 7*4 18 + x = 28 2. subtract 18 on both sides which cancels 18 out on the left x = 10 if you the mean of all the numbers including the now discovered 10 you get 4 2 + 3 + 2 + 6 + 5 + 10 = 28 / 7 = 4 sorry if i don't use math in the most logical or simple manner, but this is how I happened to solve the equation. It was confusing but I hope it helps.

Sis don’t be I took my science online yesterday and girl I didn’t even believe I was gonna pass but I did with a 157 I took a practice test before though and got a 156 . I didn’t study for the science though just did skimming through my ged Kaplan book and took the test . Also On the ged website it has ged practice on the go and it has a bunch of questions for each subject 💕

Wendy Marquez I was nervous the very first time but it wasn’t bad honestly . There is someone watching you through a webcam to make sure you’re not cheating or anything but I’ve already taken 3 test online . And just make sure your door is closed there isn’t too much noise TVs , phones and any other technology than the one you’re using is completely turned off or silent and your phone should not be within arms reach I always put my phone out of the room or all the way across the other side of the room turned completely off . No one is to come into your room while you’re testing . No drinks or anything but a glass of water but the glass has to be clear . You must not talk!! My family was talking a little even when I told them not to but the person never suspended my test so I’m guessing the person taking the test must not talk and the family just can’t be super loud but to be safe I’d recommend telling people who’s around to be quiet anyways . Don’t rush but don’t stay on a question too long either . And for social studies , reading and science it’s just reading comprehension tbh I didn’t study for those 3 and I passed just a practice test and ged flash and skimming through my book and barely even skimmed lol but for math I studied for like a week on slopes especially , percents , expressions and polynomials , equations and inequalities and proportion word problem you can study for geometry but I mean the formula sheet can be used lol it’s easy to me but I have my last test online today & good luck to you!!!!

Sorry for the confusion. Pi will always be given to you on the GED so don't worry about the exact number. Currently the GED uses 3.14 for pi. The actual value of pi is 3.141592653589793238 but it can be rounded up to 3.14 --- two decimal places 3.142 --- three decimal places 3.1416 --- four decimal places and so on All are correct. The GED will give you multiple choices that will be obvious even if you choose a different pi.
