Mr. Weiss, without going into long detail I was kicked/quit high school halfway through 10th grade. If it didn’t intrigue me I didn’t want anything to do with it. So math has always been the subject that never peeked my interest and I would get frustrated because I couldn’t understand how to workout decimal problems in 6th grade let alone fractions, algebra, etc. I just couldn’t retain it no matter how hard I tried. So math has been stopping me from 15yo until currently 36yo now. Thanks to you and your videos I am beginning to grasp math and realized it’s not nearly as intimidating or hard as I always thought it to be and it was just my frustration of needing a solid teacher to teach me in a way I can understand and retain all this crazy stuff, so I can finally take the last part of the ged test and start RN/mortician college. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because I have 2 high functioning autistic kids who also struggle with math and learn the same way I do so now we can all learn this not so complicated math stuff together as a family. I will be the second person in my family to get my ged as my mom got hers but I will be the first one to actually go to college and make something of myself. To all you youngins who are currently dreading/hating/struggling/etc when it comes to high school and you think it will be so much easier/better/funner/etc to quit high school and run around being a schmuck/getting a fast food job, DO NOT listen to those voices in your head. I repeat, DO NOT listen to that voice telling you school is not important because it absolutely is. In today’s world and in your adult life future by the time you are having your own kids all these places like McDonald’s/KFC/BK/etc will require a high school diploma or ged. With the amount of technology we have today vs 15 years ago you absolutely have zero excuses to be getting bad grades because you can’t understand something. Take it from someone who is learning that the hard way in today’s world. There is no surviving in today’s world or in the future on McDonald’s pay, I can promise you that. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or make excuses as to why you can’t ask for help. The sky’s the limit for you kids. You are not entitled to anything in this world except for what YOU work for. Mom and dad ain’t always going to be around to pick up the pieces. Nothing in your life is worth anything if you didn’t have to work/struggle and put your own blood, sweat, and tears into achieving your goal. I fear for our future because of the amount of entitlement that is running rampid like a bad std Ajax can’t get off. Things your parents pay for like your phone/car/insurance/electronics/etc are privileges not a necessity and they can disappear just as fast as they appeared. Be grateful, compassionate, considerate, and kind to your parents, siblings, and friends because you will always need them.

At 2:50 on question 2, , I forgot to show you how to BALLPARK this. In short it goes like this. 0.431* 5.6 Think the following: 0.431 is close to 43 cents. bump this up to 50 cents AND 5.6 is close to $5.60 so bump this down to $5. In short you have .50 * 5 which is the same as 1/2 of 5 which equals 2.50 which is close to answer D.

I passed!!!!! I finished my classes but didn't feel prepared. I decided to try even that I was not confident in myself yet, but I watched most of your videos just a couple of hours before my test and you made it so easy for me. It was like turn the light on for me! Your explanations are teaching how to recognize the answer and many other shortcuts that are great for someone who struggles in Math like me. I did exactly what you teach including highlighting the questions and it was like you were guiding me to answer. Everything you teach is on the test! I'm doing my GED after 31 years that I was in high school but with a successful career, this certificate is a personal goal. One more to go and I'm done. HUGE THANK YOU AND KEEP HELPING OTHERS! Number 1 is negative 4 and a half. The reason why I chose it because it’s between-4 and -2. It counts backwards to 6,4,3,2,1. Since the mark is next to the line point -3, it has to be before that number which is -4 and a half
