16:27 that rant brought a smile to my face this fine morning.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! $400/$500 for a few pieces of cheap plastic and no lights & sounds is what’s so absurd about this!! That’s the thing that should overshadow all other gripes! Yeah ok, the cantina isn’t your favorite setting - but this is the most ridiculous example of unrealistic inflation/corporate greed I’ve ever seen in modern toys.

This should have been a Pulse exclusive!

Most HasLabs follow a similar pattern - spike at the beginning, spike at the end, flat in between. Due to the size and cost and specificity of this HasLab, I think it has a very niche market, moreso than most HasLabs. It's at 5,000 now. I expect it will fund, but am not sure how far up the tiers it gets.

I think Hasbro offering Hellstrom from Engine of Vengeance [and Goblin Queen re-tooled] they may not be pay-walling things as hard as we thought.

I'm backing it, but I feel it's not a dream project. I wish they included a floor, roof, and electronics for the droid scan. I wish the exterior looked complete...fill in the gaps. The exterior of the cantina is just as iconic as the interior. Jabbas barge is a great example. It's complete inside and outside.

Its more likely the underlying cost of living issues is impacting this more than collector preferences. E.g. put any other Haslab (such as the Ghost or RC) in these same economic circumstances and they'd likely be going slower than their original runs.

I'm not surprised the Cantina is moving slowly. It too expensive and you need a over 20 figures that were released between 1998 and 2019 to fill up the set. Not counting the Sail Barge, the most successful VTC HasLabs have been vehicles. They should have done the Imperial Shuttle or a Sandcrawler. I am not backing this because I don't have the space, and I'm not paying $500 for Wuher and Tonnika sisters. It's sad that the SW Haslabs always struggle. GI Joe, Ghosbusters, and Transformers Haslabs usually reach minimum funding within in a day or so. Hasbro also needs to space these out more. Maybe every quarter?

I'm with Doell on this 100% on this one. And there was a heavy dose of negativity last week.

It doesn't need a floor or top. It does need a functioning droid alarm with and led and sound. This is not a playset, it has no play feature and zero play value. It doesn't come close to a 3 or 4 floor death star wedge for half the price with no electronics and no 3 figure tiers. This trash lab barely hits Guido... and only if Hasbro cooks the numbers like always. It's so cheap to make, it's such a cheap diorama. it backs only on figure fomo for 2 pieces of cardboard. It only hits Guido if Hasbro cooks it.

Two weeks of SW talk is not my thing, but I'm still here. Hopeful for some S7 2003 turtles talk soon!

You gotta love how people complain about the lack of play value of this set. As if most toy collectors don't find a place for their playset and then never touch it again. It's a stupid argument anyway, due to the modularity a lot of people will play with it, be it to display it differently or for toy photography etc.

It’s more than half way there. Stalls is a weird word to use. Especially considering how these Haslabs work. I have no horse in this race but it looks like it will fund. More than half way there and it always gets new orders that trickle in. Last day usually gets it over the line or fully funded all tiers unlocked. I hope it funds for those that want it. Watching the rewind .. I hope the HasLab goes through for those that really want it, but this is not a “playset” - it’s a big modular diorama. Even the small original Kenner Cantina with the cardboard background had more “play” features than this. And while I get most adult collectors will just use it for display only, it’s just lacking to me - and no floor is a big part of that. There’s (literally) nothing holding it together. Anyway, it’s just not for me.

You are right Doell there was no stage...but there was a floor and ceiling/roof...a modular top would be dope..for ppl who are fine with the current offer cool for those that want a floor and roof cool...truthfully I'm on the fence.. not much of a TVC guy...but this has 4 iconic scenes to be recreated...if GIJoe Haslab leaks before this is over and I'm not feeling the Joe Haslab I'm jumping in on the Cantina if this hits all tiers... 500 bucks is a lot in 2024...

After you create the Luke and Hon scene your pretty much done with the playset. My action figures want to fight and f**k never drink...

this will fund but very narrowly, with it being in the low production numbers anyone with half a brain can see what a great investment opportunity it is, as it will be one if the rarest Haslabs ever with at least 3 very very rare figures. the Value of the Tonnika sisters with a production number of around 8000 will be insanely rare and insanely expensive,

Like Super7 Cobra base, the Cantina loosing it's shine. I think most people buying this, just for the in package figures. Id rather have the figures than the playset.

Why people think there wont be any extra aliens released. They will release a 3- pack and other thing around it as they did with the Barge , would def wait buying al those patrons of old lines .

The Star Wars Brand is decimated and isn’t coming back anytime soon. I have back many Haslab’s, but have no interest in giving Disney any more money.

Why is it such a terrible thing for someone to find this lacking and to point out its obvious shortcomings? I’m not a Hasbro hater but there’s a point where someone is being am embarrassing apologist.

Pretty much every Haslab stalls after the first couple days. The difference here has more to do with the mediocre opening period, no?

It is now over 5k and is still going up each day even if its slow. It is gonna back for sure, only need 3k more in 21 days. We will get most of that the last week of the Haslab. It is the tiers im worried about, hopefully we get a huge surge the last week to get at least a couple of the tiers. We will know more once the last 7 days kick in.

Maybe, just maybe, if the show wasn't hot garbage it would probably be doing better. What does this Haslab have to do with that show you ask? They are both Star Wars and the normal every day fan doesn't want to support anything Star Wars after that, and almost everything Disney has released.
