For those looking to build a Praetorian Guard army, without trawling the internet for expensive metal models, Wargames Atlantic are (at the time of this video) releasing another addition to their Death Fields line of Guardsmen alikes, the "Bulldogs" kit. It's basically Praetorians, but in plastic. The preview images look fantastic. And like all WA products, you get way more models for cheaper than buying from GW, even if you're just talking about plastic kits.

I loved these when I was younger. The battle reports featuring them in White Dwarf were the best. I wish GW would bring back more of the old variety found in the Imperial Guard. To be honest even the Cadians and Catachans are crying out for new sculpts!

Looking good. Can’t wait to see rest of the series. I have the original Praetorian limited edition box set from Games Day ‘97. Almost finished painting it 23 years later! I bought a few extra minis on eBay but as you say they command a high price. Supplementing them with plastic Cadians converted with Anvil Industry pith helmets and haversacks. These look a bit more armoured so will go in their own squads. Also going to get some Victoria Miniatures female Tannenberg Fusiliers but equipped with pith helmets a they match original metal Praetorians better than her “Victorian” range. Need to make the guard a bit more inclusive for the 42nd millennia!

Lovely looking OOP army, love the modern answer to re-capturing the old method for holding painting minis (I do still have that style of pot, with the mandatory base super glued to the top which i still use to prime minis rather than coat my painting handles in primer). Once again you are proving what a shill you are by showing us how to make tufts at home (even though you sell these items). Keep up the great work dude

Fantastic project, already love the channel, will definitely be watching this. There's something very cathartic about doing a project like this. I have a couple of side projects, one is rebuilding my old 90s chaos warriors army, and the other is assembling a massive titan legion using the 90s 'epic scale' titans. The aim is to build something that my 13 year old self would have been blown away by. And there's something very satisfying about that.

Dunno if this helps dude (I imagine a bunch of people have said it already) Victoria Minatures do a great Pretorian stand in line for infantry squads best out of all the 3rd party Pratrorians in my opinion, if u want Lasguns to match the original GW models, you can probably find pretty close on shapeways or get the stl for home printing. I've gone down something of a rabbit hole making the opposite end of the aesthetic spectrum, Harakoni Warhawks, really happy with the results but the parts are from So Many different places (and OOP in a few cases)
