Mine arrived today. The only hitch I came across is that even though I entered the code, the Xbox wouldn't connect using the app; I had to complete the setup using the Controller. After that, it was plain sailing. Love it!

i think people missed judged the series s for me i rather go digital having digital is better , because my ps4 games that where physicals ended up corrupted for constant use i rather not have to deal with it besides Microsoft knows digital is the future and it shows also loving what there doing cant wait to get my first xbox

@ayaan ahmad it’s very quick and responsive, The storage isn’t the best I got 365GB I have installed 14 games and I still have a bit! Because it’s a all digital console I would get a seagate external hard drive, to be able to download more games and Xbox Game Pass! You get lots of games for a cheaper price, I made a video of unboxing it if you want to watch it. 😊

it does support 4k gaming, not just 4k video streaming but also 4k gaming, as of now, only 3 games support 4k gaming on series (S), Ory and, falconeer and the tourist.. so as you can see, it does support 4k gaming and it's up to the developers and obviously depending in the kind of games, we will never get doom eternal at 4k on this, at least not native.. but just to clarify your mistake, it does support 4k... many channels has said it and I personally tested..

I can't get 4k in the configuration xbox screen if I connect to my receiver (Harman Kardon avr 1610) even though it claims to be up to hdmi 4k pass-through... If I connect directly to the TV I have no problem but that way I can only get audio from Bitstream formats, I have not these problems with my ps3 (I skipped the entire last gen consoles) any advice?

Actually I really like this console to be honest Microsoft should have launched this feature of not putting cells or batteries in you're controller like the thing which is is PS4 controller you can easily charge you're controller by the cable and just play after so many yrs Microsoft still didn't removed cells and console size is good it is easy to carry no adapter and another thing which didn't liked it that it doesn't have disc tray...

Yea i want people to know that you are never going to get the storage that is advertised on any device as the OS and any necessary apps take up storage, I have been seeing people who say that they are getting scammed, but they say you are getting a 512 gb SSD and you get that just some of the storage is taken up by the apps I mentioned eariler

I Have some questions, does the TV Matter if it doesn't have an HDMI 2.1 Port? from what i understand the console comes with an hdmi but is the hdmi 2.0 or 2.1? Would i need a new tv for such a console if my tv doesn't support 2.1

Port doesn't matter you can plug into any tv.

If I remember correctly , you only need a device that supports hdmi 2.1 if you want 4K graphics , anything below will still be compatible with it , even an hdmi 1.4 will still allow you to get 120fps with 1080p with the console :)

I play on a 25" 1080p BenQ Zowie monitor and the Series 5 looks perfect and runs great on it. My only wish is that the expansion card was both cheaper and available in larger sizes

@@GeekStreet ...I've got a external HDD. Problem is that Series X/S newer games and older ones that received upgrades must be played off the internal SSD or expansion card. That 1.5tb can go pretty quickly with new AAA titles.

so i have a monitor with no built in speakers and i have no external speakers connected to my monitor. If i connect my xbox to my monitor then hook up a wired headset to the xbox controller will i still hear sound?? i just bought my new monitor and i’m a bit nervous about it not working.

Idk why but i dont get 120 FPS. I have a Asus monitor 144 fps support and i use the hdmi cable from the xbox series s. Anyone know why?

Change your settings. Switch from auto detect under video and fidelity to HDMI then you should be able to change tov120hz if your monitor supports it
