Intel have more better gaming performance than AMD but if you looking for laptop amd is the king because AMD have more thread and cores than Intel. Laptop use for work at home or for school so gaming performance was not that important

That decompression test is faster on the Mi laptop bcoz of the SSD, as even 1st gen ryzen is faster than intel in decompression. Really glad you are doing these different videos these days, as smartphones are getting boring. Keep 'em coming...

@Sai Deekshith i am a civil engineer i ran AutoCAD on my laptop which has i5 processor. It was fine. It will work even better in ryzen5. But if u are going to run FEM softwares go for ryzen7

@Sai Deekshith Ryzen 5, also if you have a higher budget go for a thin and light gaming laptop if possible(Razer Blade, Zephyrus g14 etc.) because the extra GPU muscle will help. Otherwise a Ryzen 5/7 should run you fine,(also the performance difference between a 4500u and 4700u isnt that much). I got a flex 5 with Ryzen 5 for 60k, i love the pen(it's a proper wacom pen with pressure sensitivity), also lets me make notes.

In processor: AMD> intel In graphics card: Nvidia >AMD>intel In all these, AMD is bit cheaper. In my experience, Price to performance ratio of the AMD is excellent compared to others . And Nvidia is always overpriced . In short, Red>green(in case of GPU)

@Shivanshu Shreyas I misread your comment anyways what I meant to say was AMD is cheaper in price but not in quality or performance. No one buys Intel these days, even the laptop manufacturers should stop using Intel's processor. AMD are far ahead from Intel's league. And Intel doesn't even have anything that can be compared with the mighty Threadripper series. And I don't like MI products at all I thought you was supporting Intel and MI products. Most of the people in India who can't afford iPhone, Samsung and Pixel states that MI is a lot better than their devices. And even in the laptop and TV segment they started this, Asus is much better than MI or any other chinese company. I feel like such a dumb person right now, sorry.

Great to see 'AMD vs Intel' battle coming to GeekyRanjit! I would suggest sharing the laptop specs clearly in the video. Here Ryzen won inspite of worse hardware specs (No SSD & GPU) but in other such comparisons the differences in peripheral hardware can confound the conclusions.

Great video, thank-you, an excellent comparison. I would have loved to see you scrubbing & doing playback on the timeline in DaVinci Resolve to see if there was any major difference in smoothness when editing, but it seems that for raw power, the Ryzen 7 is just so much faster.

For majority it is over all speed of the system. On that part I would say that he has done a pretty good comparison and I am assuming a lot of others would agree with me on this. I have a question about U processors; can they stay high for audio production? I've had one (Ryzen 5 4500u) and it has slower performance on battery. Way slower. 1.1, 1.2 ghz at times. Is there a good U CPU than can stay at 2.2-2.8 ghz on battery, steady? I don't understand that very much. Thanks :)

I have Asus Vivobook x505za with Ryzen 5 2500u. And I do a lot of video editing, even 4k sometimes. I haven't noticed any lag issues in 1080p video editing, it is seamless. For 4k there are some frame drops and lag issues but that's okay if you have patience. The laptop was for 35k without SSD, I have installed SSD 250gb and it works fluently. Earlier when I didn't had SSD, 8 min video use to take 20 min to render but now it just take 5 to 6 min.

hey i have a question, I have heard that AMD cpu for laptop's heats up faster than intel cpu. So in a hot country AMD cpu will get hot really fast can just check and tell me if this is right

AMD is far better than Intel when it comes to gaming and editing.

Nah bro, Its true for editing and rendering speeds, But as for gaming intel is still ahead (only 10-20%). But maybe thats because of games being developed to be played on intel primarily, wish developers start developing keeping AMD in mind. That being said amd is still cheaper.

I already bought.. and the asus store person was telling me that ryzen 7 is much faster than i7.. buy ryzen 7 model.. but i listened to my uncle.. and he said that ryzen 7 is comparable to intel i3.. 😠😠😠.. ryzen 7 was cheaper.. 😑

compression tests are CPU heavy workload but in all fairness if its not the same laptop with the same other components its flawed yes. Same goes for the battery life - do they even have the same mAh battery?

ok i looked at it again, todays m.2 ssds have read/write of ~1500MB/s - its a 300MB file with write speeds of 100KB to 6MB/s during the test. the faster ssd shouldnt make that much difference here
