I imagine there were some but it may have been awkward. Might not be canon anymore but there were several books that mentionedf a trandoshan religion where literally you had to kill and skin wookies to gain a positive afterlife

I think I found a plot hole in the clone wars. Commando droids were still relatively new and unknown to clones when we first encountered them on rishi, but prior to this domino squad had faced them in training.

Killing his tribe was revenge, not an act of mercy. Czerka's invasion was just an excuse for this. Proof of revenge: He showed them the darkness (Shadowlands), unnecessarily increasing their suffering.

In spite of their darkness, I side with him and Chuundar out of interest in breaking the wookies' belief in their own system. They were intolerant against their own and had some biased laws. I will create anger in them until they get the message and fight for change, not tradition.

In legends Han saved chewy while he still served the Empire. Chewy was being whipped almost to death and Han stepped in stopping the abuse. This ended up getting Han kicked out of the Imperial Navy and so the smuggling adventures begun.
