Other than the fact he was a giant intelligent spider man, the good Admiral made normal individuals within the Galaxy be able to outthink or outsmart the Jedi in battles. He was facing the Chosen One, you know an individual so close to the Force that he was destined for greatness, and made him sweat when they were on the same battlefield.

Well it depends. The separatist movement only had the battle droid army because of sith meddling. The separatist movement would have existed and would have gone to war with or without the sith, but their army wouldn't have been nearly as impressive. Though the republic would be the same, without the clone army. Grievous also wouldn't have existed in the same form, he would have remained an unaugmented tribal warlord and wouldn't have been concerned about the galaxy at large. He ended up the way he did because Sidious had a bomb planted on Grievous' shuttle and framed the jedi for it. The injuries from the blast required extensive cybernetic augmentation which Sidious then so generously offered to Grievous, in exchange for his services as a general against their now shared enemy

Also, stealth tech is highly underrated in Star Wars. 6:24: Crimson Tide and The Hunt for Red October vibes, I know. Air and space combat are my fictional cup of tea, but sub warfare, if not similar types of warfare, have a soft spot in my mind. I also admit, I stopped moving and heavily breathing while watching that scene again. Your examination is on point there.

Yeah this is one of my favorite episodes in the first season. And you mentioned that it is basically submarine combat but in space. When you showed us the scenes, I immidiately thought of a submarine movie that I have scene, when the beeping started, and he shut down the whole ship, and the bombers were getting closer. That exact sequence is also part of a submarine movie where a submarine was potentially spotted, by a battle ship, and the battleship also send bombers, and just like this episode, the bombers ended up not going after the submarine. Even the cat and mouse game they were playing was the same as with that movie.

Gotta love him as a villain, he was cunning and smart and gave more meaning and world building to the sepratist and his way he distinguished the ship had a Jedi pilot instead of it being clones by firing 1000 shots made us realise he wasn’t a normal commander such as gun ray who fought for hollow goals He was also scary as when I was smaller I hated spiders so I guess that helped make him more imposing and terrifying. Another memorable Seperatist vilian to me was the Neimoidian commander who lead the blockade over Ryloth. He studied Anakin Skywalker. He didn't underestimate him, and even would've won if Anakin didn't straight up comit a war crime to favor the battle to his side. There's a reason why Lucas specifically requested a scene added where he escaped the ship before it blew up. Shame they didn't do anything with him after that tho

We don't know too much about Trench's loyalties but, let's assume he's a Separatist loyalist and after the war, commands a fleet of "Holdouts" against the Republic/newly born Empire. Thrawn is active pretty early on in the war; He shows up in Rebels, at least, where Sep holdouts are still a thing. So, theoretically, if Trench survived somehow and stayed loyal to the CIS, or more likely, had a personal vendetta against the Republic and specifically ANAKIN (Now Vader).. I thought those blasters (which were made for B1 Battle Droids to use) would overheat to the point of causing 3rd-degree burns if used by organics, something The B1s didn't have a problem with? Plot-hole detected! (For those who don't understand what episode she did this in, it was the episode where she, and Jar Jar Binks went to Rodia to convince them not to join The CIS, gets betrayed/captured for it, and they try to escape, ending in The CIS forces on the planet being defeated, and Nute Gunray being captured. Can someone tell me what the name of the episode is, or if I got it right?)
