@@Appalachia_Ape That sounds like a byproduct of trying to make them tighter than the original TDP. I'd like them to be nice and tight according to the original design, but not too tight where you have to beat the pins in and out with a hammer.

Yup! And FYI, my “type I” bolt in my first Grendel is still going strong a decade later. It has about 1500 rounds through it, including a few hundred rounds custom loads that are just above published max powder charge. I know 1500 rounds isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, but it is nice I have never needed the spare bolt I bought after hearing about the bolt lug breaking problem.

They just "design a spring" "or adjust a follower' then slap thier name on them and double or quadruple (5.56 mags) the price 🤣 I seriously doubt the invested in everything neccessary to make every part and assemble freaking 6mm ARC mags of all things 🤦‍♂️ Notice he said "designed" and no magazines were in the rifle during the built in house sphill...
