ABOUT ME:
Hello lettering friend! I’m Sarah from Ensign Insights. I started hand lettering in 2016 during a really difficult time and hand lettering reminded me how to be happy. I dove in head first and haven’t looked back! I started teaching lettering and sharing that joy I found with others. My goal is to help you create hand lettering that feels like your best self. Most recently I've been doing that through a Hand Lettering Journal which is simply a journal filled with your own lettering! In 2021 my first book was published, Hand Lettering for Beginners. It includes everything I wish I had when I got started. I used to be addicted to buying new pens, and while I still love pens, I’m on a journey toward minimalism so I’ve been decluttering A LOT of pens. I’ve realized I’m more creative when I have just enough pens, not too many. I firmly believe that you can create something beautiful with what you have! The sparkle pop and dual metallic are the same pens, just sold in different markets. Sparkle pop is North American and Dual is Europe/Asia. Are the Karin milky similar to the Milky pop? Keep creating 💙💛💜

I love the way you can write but it’s not always on the line. I’m very ocd and have a similar journal with the dots. But I have to always make sure I stay on the line. I wish I could just write with feeling controlled by the lines 🤔

I know I hate when I write not perfect bc I will literally cut the page out and start over. being a perfectionist is annoying 😅

I was so happy to see a new video from you! I love gel pens, too. In fact, I’m obsessed with pens, period, lol. When I was little, coloured pencils were the thing, and my parents could only afford to buy me the small package. Now that I’m older, I can have all the pens and coloured pencils I want! ☺️

My only real complaint about the Gelly Roll moonlight line (and to an extent other milky gel pens) is that there isn't really a more neutral yellow and orange option. Especially with Gelly Rolls, you have no way of assembling a classic rainbow look without mixing between neon and non-neon colors, and it always feels a bit off to me. With the Karin and Pentel, at least all the pens work together as a set, but I'd love some more earthy toned milky gel pens. Their quality is flawless, I reach for them more than any other milky pen set I have or anything else that draws on black, but I feel like I'm missing shades.

Ooh I'll have to try the Karin brand of gel pens!! I think you'd like the Pentel Mattehop (Original and Sweet sets)....they even have a black! They're so juicy!

I got the Karin deco gel delivered today and the Milky Way set are leaking into the lid ,did anyone else have this problem and what can I do to stop it happening again

Oh no!! That’s not good! I would email Karin Markers and let them know. I’ve had good experience with their customer service in the past!

@@EnsignInsights the black on flooded yesterday all over my hands , I’ve had to take the Milky Way set out of my case, they are a mess, all the others are fine, do you have their email address by any chance.

I always love your reviews! Since the moment I began doing lettering you’ve been one of my top inspirations! I remember the time you liked one of my posts and IT WAS THE MOMENT OF MY LIFE! I don’t have much time to do lettering now but it’s been two years since I started and I think I’ve gotten pretty better and better because you always encourage me even though you don’t know who I am! 😂 🤍🫶🏼 keep creating!!!!
