I forget every now and then, and I can work on that, same with OP. (No shame or shade to you, every one forgets all the time, props for actually doing your job and being good to your cat). Forgetting a simple task every now and then is fine, we all do it. Threatening to kill an innocent animal for no reason over a simple mistake is too far D) If you want to talk about it not being a threat, and it actually being a condition, and for OP to, quote "learnt the difference," look at this: Threat: "a statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or other hostile action on someone in retribution for something done or not done"

not a malicious act? be so for real. they did it on purpose and lied to OP. and now, after the child has come, they dont even care about apologizing to OP about the dog, just their grandson. I think OP killing the dog was too much but OP should definately keep them out of her and her childs lives.

Yeah no .. neither of them are right in this situation whatsoever , yes what the parents did was wrong , and they shouldn't have done it, but prioritizing a dog over your family is just cruel , and the fact that she is threating the parents that they have to give up their dog to see their grandchildren doesn't make her situation better , as she is doing the very thing she's been upset about for the past 8 years .@@user-gp2io5bm5l

The parents shouldn't have put down her dog, and said they wouldn't when they actually would, but I think OP shouldn't stop her child from having a set of grandparents for it

Having a set of grandparents is not detrimental. Sure maybe the kid will ask questions one day but that could easily be fixed with an explanation. If my parents did that to me I would generally feel uncomfortable with their lack of regard for life. Also, if they could do that to a dog you know your kid loves very much what does that say about their regard for human lives?
